(no subject)
Today was filled with too much ass-hattery, but ended on a high note at the best chapel I've been to in a long while.
What ass-hattery, you say?
Well, the usual stupid people at work plus my wrist (which is much better, but still a bit off, I plan to wear the brace until I can use scissors again w/o pain)
Then there was the At&t people, who sent us a letter saying that we haven't paid our bill for this month, which i sent via the IUCU bill pay and was supposedly paid (by check) on 8/17. I contacted IUCU and got basically this response. "we sent it on x date. It hasn't cleared yet. perhaps it was lost in the mail. Do want us to cancel the payment and credit you or cancel the payment and resend it". I sent back a reply saying, "Hrm...well you lost it the first time, so not the second one, please. If you do the first I can call and make sure they get my money, kthnxbye"
I won't know what happened with that till tomorrow at the earliest.
And to top it off the Insurance Adjuster called about the claim for my stolen scooter and I missed her by 1 ring. This is a different person than the one I've been talking to (who left town for a week and only just called me back) who apparently handles the money. She left a message in which the important info is completely indecipherable after roughly 15 listens and of course only has office hours of 8:15am to 12:45am *central* even though she called me at 4:45pm and when I called right back I got the answering machine. So I have to spend the morning trying to get ahold of her and find out what she wants and then likely i'll have to find it and then spend the rest of the day trying to tell her I have it.
And they gave me the morning off of work tomorrow, which mean this paycheck will be even leaner than planned for. Grrr.
so anyway - Chapel was a really nice stress reliever. I had two drinks, neither of which were paid for by me, danced and danced, looked awesome and met some new friends (hopefully!) and some really old ones (high school? seriously!) as well the usual and much loved Chapel gang. and now I need to rest for the stupidity that is sure to ensue tomorrow.
