it's my party.....
After a cursory look around town i haven't been able to find devonshire or clotted cream (i didn't look that hard, really).
But oddly enough amazon.com has them. so i placed an order for devonshire and clotted cream, petit fours, spotted dick (tee hee!), crumpets, and mini mince pies. I'm also planning to bake scones, spice cookies and some muffins/breads, as well as make some cucumber sandwiches and get a few treats from the bakehouse and pick up some biscotti and lemon curd.
I still need to find our fancy linens (tabel cloths, etc) and get some flowers for the table (that i'm not allergic too!).
The location is still up in the air, as the house hasn't been closed on yet (soon!).
but i'm confident all will be well.
