Ok I'm home . . .
After a giant fiasco at JFK today I got home about 30 minutes ago. I've been up for about 24 hours and I have job/phone interview at 11am for U of M. I'm stoked but exhausted.
We got into JFK at about 12:30pm after being up since 1 am Michigan time. We headed to our gate, our flight wasn't leaving till 4pm, and waited. A Delta employee came up and said we needed to get on a shuttle to Terminal 2 gate 23, not Terminal 4 (where we were). So we went. At about a quarter to 4pm mom went up and asked why the flight was delayed. Well, it wasn't, we were supposed to be in Terminal 4 all along. We ran to gate 19 to get the shuttle but it already left. The guys said it only came ever 15 minutes and they wouldn't call the gate to stall the plane or transportation for us.
90 minutes later they got us booked on a flight to Detroit at 7pm with Delta (the original flight was with Northwest). Then that flight was delayed 2 hours. So we were in JFK for 8 hours and I got home 5 hours later than expected.
Anyway, Ireland was awesome, I'll write more later and post pictures to Myspace/Facebook. Send intelligent, impressive thoughts my way so I can focus enough to not seem completely incompetent during the phone interview tomorrow.
