Summary: The kitchen scene from A Morning.
Steve sipped at the coffee after Clint left the room. “You make a good cup of coffee.”
“I learned from the best. That and Pepper nearly killed me when I called her one day asking how to make coffee. So, it was a bit of a survival tactic too,” Tony said. “I can also make eggs.”
“Can you now?” Steve asked with a grin.
“Yep. Mostly scrambled and with cheese.”
“That’s the best kind,” Steve said. “I’ll make bacon?”
“Man after my own heart,” Tony said as he got up and went over to the fridge. He grabbed the eggs, butter, milk, and cheese before throwing the package of bacon to Steve. The two of them made breakfast together, in quiet for the most part as Tony had to yell at the eggs sticking, but it didn’t take too long to throw together.
“We’re a good team,” Steve said as they sat back down with breakfast.
“Well, try the eggs first before you say that,” Tony said.
Steve did and grinned. “Delicious.” He did grab the salt and pepper and used them a bit.
“Liar,” Tony said with a grin before taking a mouthful. He took the salt and pepper and did the same. “I do always forget that step.”
“Eh, you’re only human, Tony,” Steve said, kissing Tony’s cheek before digging back into their breakfast. The two ate in silence before going their separate ways for the day - Tony down to the lab and Steve to his normal morning meeting as the team’s leader.
