Y'know, I'm not really sure (other than the other journal was getting long) that the snippet of dream I remember is worth putting in a journal. But, I said I would, so here goes.
Mostly, what I remember was my son.
I don't usually dream specific genders or faces for the babies in my dreams. I've dreamt that my baby turned into a little crocodile (kinda like eM did once, actually) and other snakey, lizardy things, which is cool, cuz I like snakes and lizards (especially iguanas.. Iggy was very cool, and used to curl up in my shirt pocket during Poli Sci, cuz Iggy's owner, Pitt, was in Earth Science that period, and the Science building was WAY colder than the building Poli Sci was in. So Iggy was much warmer with me, than him. Plus it gave the guys something to tease me about... 'you have a lizard curled up under your breast!!'). But this was definitely a boy baby, and even stranger, he had a name. I rarely dream in names. I know who people are, but I just don't normally use their names.
So, in the dream, I had a son named Douglas. (Not a name I would use. I have a cousin named Doug, and it's a good name, but I rather like my parents precedent of giving children fairly original first names and using family names as middle names.. cuts down on the favoritism factor.) Douglas had dark brown hair, and it was actually cut (although he was a bit young for that...) in the way of most generic little boys, short and with bangs. He had huge, serious brown eyes, and golden skin like JW. He was also terribly tiny. His entire skull could be cupped in my hand, and I have fairly small hands. His fingers would barely have wrapped around my pinky finger.
He was very quiet, and very well behaved, and very warm. In fact, in the dream I was a little worried that he was overheated, and was talking to him very quietly and just holding him gently while asking someone else to run a lukewarm bath, and another someone to bring me a bottle of formula.
I just can't figure out where the dream came from.
Last night I dreamed of pregnant women, but that made sense. We'd just watched ST: Voyager, and Belanna (sp?) and Tom just found out they were going to have a baby.
I hadn't seen anything about babies overheating or anything about babies in general that I can recall, earlier this weekend. At any rate, it was an interesting snippet of dream.
