Moulin Rouge was indeed amazing. No spoilers, of course.. because that's just cruel.. but I really liked it. I was also completely unaware that Baz Luhrmann had anything to do with it, but a great deal suddenly makes sense about the writing and choice of songs now. I need to get the score/soundtrack.. both of they're available, actually. If not, ( Read more... )

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have the soundtrack and it's awsome, as Baz Luhrmann usually is. :) It's worth the $15...

I was surprised to hear that Nicole sang 5 of the songs on the CD.. and agree with you, she's got a pretty voice. I guess we're all used to her acting, we never even wondered if she could do anything else!

Soundtrack is missing at least 2 numbers (one in full, one just in part) .. so I'm wondering if they're going to do a second, or if a score is lurking out there somewhere. (My sister gave me a copy! I'm so happy.. listening to it now, actually..)

Maybe I can talk the husband into going and seeing it with me... otherwise, I'll be hitting the theater later this weekend to see it by myself hopefully, though the plan is possibly going to see either Atlantis or TombRaider. *le sigh* Men!

I'll have to check at work and see if they show anything for another soundtrack/score for it.. you've got me curious now. :)

Tomb Raider was cool, I thought.. but I like Angelina Jolie an awful lot. ;)

Still haven't seen Atlantis, although I've heard it was good.

Where do you work now? ;)

*chuckles*

She done pretty good since coming into the business, I must say. Pretty impressive.

And, I work at the local Barnes and Noble - did work in music, but now one of the shelvers in the mornings. :) They may be expensive with some things, but the employee discounts are nothing to laugh at. :) And if you're one of the lucky ones to actually get benefits, they're really good too.

I know Atlantis must be good if a couple of the guy friends over here saw it and liked it enough to consider going back again this weekend if we go. ;)

*grins* So did you?

And I've heard B&N has some good benefits/employee discounts. Even considered applying to the one in town for part-time work to supplement the web contract job. I've just been procrastinating a lot. *wry smile*

I didn't get to go see it.. ended up playing Diablo II expansion all weekend before going to the husband's family gathering Sunday. :}

Did get to see Tomb Raider though. Was pretty good.

At least at our store, the employees are a blast to work with - all as crazy as our friends. There's a few managers that.. well.. I could do without. :} The plus with our store is that it bought a small local store, what used to be Babbage's (computer, PS, NES, etc games) in the mall, so we get discounts there too!

*nodnods and sighs* I'd be SOOOO bad. I know Babbage's. Used to spend money there I didn't need to.. like buying Heaven and Earth. ;) God that was a fun game though.. the time of DOS. *giggles*
