I've noticed a few people have friended me, who I don't know... and... well, that's interesting. I'm wondering why, vaguely ( Read more... )

So sorry - you know I honestly didn't realize it was set to "Friends Only" on the comments. I suspected you might have added me due to that interest, but I wasn't sure, as we share a few others. ;) Good to meet you.

Well, there is (perhaps unfortunately) no shortage of people who claim reading, writing, and photography as interests :)

Well, the reading and the writing make sense for an online journal site. And lately, so does the photography. ;)

As long as everyone isn't proclaiming their prowess, I suppose it isn't all bad.

Very nice.

I like this one, that looks a bit like rosemary blooming, although I'm not great at identifying flowers.

And this one, from your miscellaneous page.

I do like the close up shots. The way you frame shots is very interesting. Draws attention to the living and non-living.

I myself am nowhere near that talented. There are a few old pics here, of the drawn, computer tweaked, and camera variety. I do like when I get nice shots, but I don't have any sort of fancy equipment. I just use an Olympus C-765 ultrazoom digital. I have used Canons and Kodaks with varying lenses in the past, and like them, but recognize that I mostly just know enough to get myself in trouble! :)

I like the way you draw eyes, and um ... figures :) If I could draw like that, I'd be doing erotic comics ;)

My father has a house on the western short of Lake Michigan, which is where the moonrise photo was taken. That series of photos taught me that I need to work harder to keep the horizon horizontal :) Photography is all about details like that.

That makes sense. It's really a gorgeous picture. I like the way the lake bleeds into the sky and the way the landscape is balanced right with the moon in the left. It's calming.

I need to work a bit on the ... figures. ;) They're a bit un-realistic on occasion. But I'm improving, and I guess that's all I care about really
