Remus Lupin loves Christmas. Ever since he was little, his parents would scrape by with less for months, just to have a proper tree and a few presents for their boy, but mostly it was the feeling of the season...and the food. But this Christmas, there was an addition to the Lupin traditional celebration. It was Remus' mother's idea. He had insisted on staying at school to keep Sirius company, since his family certainly did not want him home for the holidays. But neither of his parents would hear of that, they couldn't imagine the boys spending Christmas alone in the tower. And so, Sirius was invited to the...modest, Lupin household, in all its battered and lower middle class, but homey, glory. Remus had been up for an hour already; had helped his mother start breakfast, his father bring in wood for the fire, and, of course, had wrapped Sirius' present. Currently he sits in an over-stuffed chair beside the leaning Christmas tree...knitting.
