Today one of my friends posted this on Facebook, and I have some thoughts and mocking that I feel the need to vent.

I did notice that! She probably doesn't even know who The Cure is.
The more I think about this video the more I'm like:

I don't know what would make me angrier. If she knew about The Cure and put that in there as an homage or if she doesn't know about them and just heard it said before and decided it would work in her video.
Christian Bale makes everything better, even this video :D

She probably had no input on this whole thing, I bet the "record company" did all of it. They probably thought they were being clever or something.

Because people who listen to The Cure are really going to listen to this seriously. Maybe I was different but I was a 14 year old listening to The Cure and wondering about life, not some girl who thought about Fridays being a party day. I don't see any reason to put that there, just have Thank God It's Friday there, seriously!

I figured it was there because the other days were from songs, too, like "Manic Monday." That doesn't make it any better because it's just more songs thrown in there because of the titles.

Ugh, it should be a rule that you never reference songs that are better than your own in your music videos. It's like reminding someone, "you could be listening to something good instead of this crap."
