Plans didn't go as Matt and I expected yesterday... but I had fun anyway :)
First, I met up at Matt's house at like 4:30pm. I gave him his christmas presents, which he liked :D We played some guitar, and then we were off to go shopping.
We went to Michaels, Best Buy, Old Navy, Gap, and Barnes and Noble.
First went to Michaels where EVERYTHING was sold out, and nothing was worth buying. Except we almost bought little capsules that you put water on and it makes like sponge animals. Matt liked the Amphibian ones. But we ended up skipping that and leaving.
Next was Best Buy where we just shopped around, and bought a CD. When we were in line, the people behind us were playing with their baby, who was SO CUTE! I was laughing, and so was he, and then Matt turned around and the baby's face went blank, and stared at him. It was so funny, poor baby ;)
Next was Old Navy where they were playing the coolest songs. First they played 'Hey Ya'. Matt repeated that song so many times, and just like little parts of it, I wanted to vomit. But it's okay, whatever.
Then comes Gap where I don't think we bought anything, but then we went back to Old Navy and heard "Dancing Queen", and we were singing that the rest of the night. So fun. We bought some things, and then went to the big machine thing that costs 25 cents to get a little toy or whatever. Together we had 5 quarters, and used them. We got two little plastic frogs, a happy face top, and two bracelets. I got pink and Matt got orange. Actually, he got pink and I got orange, but we switched :)
So then to Barnes and Noble, where we got some starbucks and looked at the art books. Soon Bobby picked us up and we were off to his house to wrap presents and have dinner.
Mama Leslie's friend came over, and also her daughter, Kate. She's a senior and very nice. We ate dinner, and then the two adults went to a movie. This whole time Oscar was supposed to be coming over, but apparently his parents are ridiculous and didn't let him come over. So pretty much our whole surprise was foiled because he couldn't come over. But anyway, for the first like, hour and a half, Bobby, Kate, Matt and I all watched football. I don't think anyone can say that they've been to Matt's house and watched football. Seriously. Matt and I were on the side knowing nothing about anything Bobby and Kate were talking about those crazies.
Matt played for me, we talked a lot, and then we heard stories from Bobby's college years. Crazy boy, he is.
At like 11pm, I decided to call Jamie and have her get me around Oscar's development. Bobby decided to drive me there, and of course Matt was with us. We listened to Cat Power [I LOVE HER] and waited for Jamie.
When she finally got there, we said our goodbyes, and I went to go spend the night at Jamie's house.
Jamie's was fun. We watched a movie, and something .else. Went to bed, which was most comfortable bed ever. Thank you Jamie.
What a fun night. So sad Oscar's parents are dumb, and didn't let him be a part of it. Love you Oscar babe :) You're going to have an AWESOME birthday at school on tuesday!
