I got my senior schedule because I’ve got connections. And although I didn’t get two of the classes I wanted, it’s still a pretty good schedule- those two were replaced with the two I signed up for as alternates. This year they didn’t randomly select a class I have never heard of and tried to force me to take it. So here it is:
1. Photography
2. Pottery
3. Biology II AP
4. English IV AP
5. Spanish IV AP
6. Fencing Team
Like I said, not bad. But I really wanted Shakespeare and Creative Writing…especially since I might major in English. And I really didn’t want to take Spanish again. I have already had four years of it and it’s getting viejo [old]. So I gave Mrs. Brill a call and she was really nice and helpful. She even told me what hours each class I want is offered. Shakespeare is only taught 3rd hour, and English and Biology are only offered 3rd and 4th hour. Therefore it is impossible. However, I was able to drop Spanish! …But it meant getting off Fencing Team and taking Advanced Fencing 5th hour. And because of that I was allowed to take Creative Writing. So here is the final schedule:
1. Photography
2. Pottery
3. Biology II
4. English IV
5. Advanced Fencing
6. Creative Writing
Now I’m through with Spanish and I don’t have three AP classes back-to-back-to-back. But I still really want Shakespeare… There have been some years when I had a class next to Mr. Jinx’s T-building, and through those cardboard walls I could pick up bits of what they were doing. It seems like such a fun class. And then of course Meru, Cyndil, and all of my other friends who have taken it recommend it. And…I regret not having fencing 6th hour. I have had it second hour, fourth hour, and sixth hour. But sixth hour is TEAM. No freshmen allowed. It’s for the people that truly enjoy fencing- not the ones that just take it because they need a PE credit. I learn so much more from practicing with other people on the team. And I made a few friends in there last year. Sure Ricco got placed there against his will and became our armorer and we goofed off a lot. I’m just going to miss not being with them. But maybe some of them will have the same problem- by some twist of fate a schedule conflict may plague them too and force them to take it at a different hour. I mean…not to wish that on anyone else.
Heh heh. If I would have kept Spanish I most likely would have had it with Ricco. I think it’s only taught one hour- since the same teacher also teaches Spanish II, III, and V. Hmm I hope we all have the same lunch shift again. Last year was so fun. We had the whole Breakfast Club going on. Well not exactly. But Ricco would always say the same thing over and over without realizing us and Meghan would make fun of people walking by and Jane would always curse and I would always complain about something and Maria would always pester Jane to walk around with her so she could talk about us…and her college plans and her straight 100’s and super-hyper-AP classes even though she was just a sophomore! I have always had a fear of my friends being on one lunch shift and me on the other. I don’t want to think about what that would be like. Either eat alone every day…or make new friends. Man that would suck! I think I’ll probably be on second lunch shift…as I’ve always been. If English IV is still Gilchrist, and if she is still in a T-building, it should be second. Ah. I remember the good times in fencing fourth hour; back when there were 45 students and we would fence outside go on first and second lunch shifts.
I was off work yesterday so I cashed my paycheck and went to Best Buy. They didn’t have DNAngel Volume 4. They didn’t have Skies of Arcadia. They didn’t have either CD I wanted. But I did buy Volume 2 of the Great Saiyaman Saga and a Reel Big Fish CD. I wrote my first check…after having my account an entire month. That’s just sad. Oh and I had 69$ in my account 0_o.
Last night the Foster’s took us out to eat. No, not Meru Foster. Mr. Jack and Mrs. Esther Foster, an elderly couple/family friend. Mrs. Esther is the cutest old lady! With her blue puffy hair and bright red lipstick and wide lens glasses. ^_^. And even though both of them call me Colon instead of Colin they’re fun to be with. They said we were either going to Don’s Seafood, Dominic’s, or Olive Garden. The whole time I was thinking, “Not Don’s, please not Don’s, anything but Don’s” when Mr. Jack said, “How about Don’s?!” !#%@^% I don’t eat seafood!!!! So we get there. And it’s quiet. And I look at the menu. And of course everything there has seafood in it except a steak or a salad. Actually there were crawfish salads, shrimp salads, etc. And one called Italian Salad. Ok…Italian’s don’t eat seafood….right?? Well I don’t know, but when it came to the table it had some creepy fish skin sitting on top of it and staring at me. Almost threw up then. Dad actually reached over and took it off my plate for me, haha. Oh and then waitress…ewww. The first thing she said when she got to the table was, “Guys I swear this isn’t pink eye.” Her eye was really, REALLY irritated and rose red. And when she brought the water, “I’ll bring you guys some lemons because the water tastes kinda muddy tonight.” NO APPETITE WHATSOEVER AT THIS POINT. I ate half of the salad and then ate twenty one packs of crackers. Ok…maybe there was a little appetite. They were called Captain’s Wafers!! And I put all the wrappers on my bread plate and they charged up this really neat field of static electricity and I played with that for amusement XD.
The wairess brought a dessert for Mom because we were celebrating her birthday and she took a picture of us with Mrs. Esther’s old fashioned camera. Then Mom/I realized that there wasn’t any film in the camera!! -_-‘ We left there and on the way home Dad asked if they had been to the Boardwalk. “No we sure haven’t. But we’d love to go sometime. How about tonight?” >_< We went all the way to Bossier and it was dark and all the mosquitoes were attacking so we went into this ice cream shop. Alisha works there! Yay. The workers sing songs about ice cream too, so it was kinda cool. I ordered a small cup of Cookie Doughn’t You Want Some. Then this weird girl kept running around with menus and stickers. When she saw me sitting down with Mrs. Esther she ran over to me and asked if I wanted a sticker. “…Sure.” “Here ya go!!” And she slapped this sticker on my chest. Slapped. On my right nipple. Later she came back and said some things. And slapped one the other. And one on each shoe. Later she came back. And told me I had a sticker on my back. OMGWTF?! No one else in that shop had nearly as many stickers as I did. When I left she kept saying, “Make sure you come back. I’ll be here tomorrow. 11:00 until 5:00. You better come back some time.” Mom was like, “Is that the person you know?” and Dad said, “She was flirting with you big time.” >_< Umm the old people have to walk really slow and I didn’t wanna, so I went to the river and called Jane- to tell her that Alisha works there- but we ended up talking a long time. About school. About our summer. About being in pajamas and watching tv all day long. Lol. We. are. bums. But at least I have a job…which I have to go to later tonight.
This is longer than I wanted. I’ll end by saying that sometime during dinner Mrs. Esther held up her middle finger on each hand and waved them in the air. I DON’T KNOW WHY. I was busy eating crackers. But I don’t think she realized what she was doing, and I’m sure she was telling an innocent story of some sort.
