January 1 Sunday Morning

It was a new year! A fresh start to exciting new adventures. Kurosaki was up earlier than the others in his household, despite staying out late the night before with Miyavi. He started the day opening all of the shades in the house, letting in an ample amount of sunlight, and causing several of his siblings to shout curse words his way. Kurosaki whined back at them for using such words first thing in the new year. It was a bad omen, and he was looking forward to a great year.

Kurosaki beat his parents to the kitchen, so he made himself a quick breakfast, leaving the cabinets open behind him. He was too excited for the upcoming day to worry about trivial things like closing a cabinet. He would have left the dishes in the sink if his sister Mina, who was visiting for the for break, hadn't yelled at him to wash his mess. So he splashed around in the sink, more interested in the amount of bubbles he could make, before he was on his way to getting ready for the day.

When he was finished getting ready, shoes on and winter coat zipped, he ran out the door, sliding on the ice outside his door. He giggled at his almost fall, but didn't slow down. He loved holidays.

Without skipping a beat, he bounded into the train, headphones on. He had made plans with Andrea to meet her in a popular shopping district of Tokyo, one where even the holidays didn't keep them from opening their doors. He had received a good amount of money from his relatives to use, which he planned to put towards getting Andrea a gift. He danced to his music as he stood on the train, ignoring the looks he might receive from those around him. They just didn't know how to have fun. When the train stopped at his destination, he pulled his headphones down to around his neck, and bounded off the train. "I'm here, Andy-chan!" he announced to no one in particular.
