Kurosaki spent most of his day stalking around the house. He had a terrible headache and felt awful. His older sister Maiki, had fussed over him for getting sick, despite Kuro's defensive remarks that it wasn't his fault that they got lost during a typhoon.
Kuro walked quietly through the house. For a household of nine children, it was nearly dead silent. Both of his parents were gone working. Only four of the children were home: Kuro, Miko, Kurasaya, and Koronushi.
Kuro spotted Miko in the family room with papers and books sprawled out before her. She was only two years older then him and they would have been in the same high school if it wasn't for the fact that she had landed herself a spot in one of the best high schools in Japan. When Miko caught sight of Kuro, she rudely shooed him away. Kurosaki continued on his voyage.
Kuro found his brother Kurasaya shut up in his room as usual. Peering through the cracked door, he could see his brother dressed into an outfit similar to a female character from a CLAMP series. Kurosaki giggled at the pink, frilly dress that was covered with pretty lace. Kurasaya was mumbling to himself, most likely acting out one of the episodes in his head. Kurosaki liked his brother. He was very amusing.
Kurosaki was heading back to his own room now. A wave of drowsiness had fallen suddenly over the boy and he wanted nothing more than to go right to sleep. But his way was interrupted in the hallway when suddenly, an older boy of 19 somersaulted down the width of the hallway. He was dressed in camouflage and wielded a fake toy gun he had probably bought off Ebay. There was also a scabbard sheathing a fake sword bounded to his back. His face was painted in an assortment of blacks, greens, and yellows. His green helmet hung low on his face, nearly covering the eyes that glared at Kuro with every bit of seriousness the boy could have.
"Hello Koro!" Kuro said happily to his brother Koronushi. The boy only nodded to Kuro before grabbing the smaller boy by the wrist and pulling him to his place by the wall.
"They have caught on, young Kuro-san," he whispered, his eyes searching the hallway suspiciously. "They have rigged our hideout with spies. It's only a matter of time. A matter of TIME!" His voice reached a shrilling point as he spoke frantically, his eyes bulging slightly. He pushed Kuro away and sprinted down the hallway; stopping and pressing his body against the wall; then somersaulting once more into a different room after making a battle cry.
Almost as if used to it, Kuro turned and walked into his room, not surprised by his siblings actions so far that day. He found his bed, where he laid down without bothering turning the covers; and was asleep seconds later.
