What I'm Watching: September 2016

Sep 11, 2016 17:25

It's weird to think that my French I class and I were watching live news from New York fifteen years ago today. It's less weird to me to be out of the country for the third anniversary in a row (and the fourth total). The weirdest thing, though -- and my friends and I realized this some time ago -- is the fact that high school students now are too young to remember 9/11. There are 9th graders who were born after it.

Anyway. On a less serious note... about teenagers elsewhere... partly...

Bunkasai (school culture festival) weekend was great, but it wiped me out, haha. It's amazing how the students kept up their energy. A good number of them were still very much alive during the closing act of the kouyasai (after party). Thankfully, after that ended last night, I got my second wind and could enjoy an informal get-together with a few teachers. A lot of credit goes to the nice weather and cool evening breeze. My love for autumn probably stems from my hatred of summer. >:P

Unrelated side note: due to certain other events this month, my brain might possibly be off in video game land and tennis land for a while.
