Crushed by the Gears of a Music Machine

There is no music anymore.

If you think that rappers go out and bust a cap in a cop's ass for beatin on his brothas, you are sadly mistaken. If you thing rappers even want to do gangsta rap, in most cases you are sadly mistaken. Why do people say they live a hard life in da steets, while they live in a nice, upscale house? It's because saying that they do allows them to HAVE a nice, upscale house.

Packaging: Those of you who don't believe music is all about packaging, give Milli Vanilli another grammy. How come every pop star has to be good looking? It's because if you buy a hot boy's album, (which has only one "good" song on it - the song of the month - and I'll come back to debate the term "good" later)he'll marry you and shower you with money and sex. It must be true... the only reason Britany Spears hasn't spread for me is because I never bought anything she recorded. Is this a new thing? No - sir! Elvis had to wiggle his hips to sell records. Let's not forget those young rebels who don't give a damn about the upper class: The Rolling Stones. Don't forget to have your dentures takin out by your servents at bedtime, guys.
You know what your listining to is heavily packaged when you only care because there's an embarassing dance or moronic cacth-phrase lyrics. By the way do you remember BaHa men? Didn't think so.

Jazz music is great music. Each chord is so specific, each tone is so articulate, the meters are intricate, and the melodies memorable. What's really great about it is that each artist has a different version of the same jazz standard. They are free to take a song and make it theirs through their own personal expression. Modern music is just filling in words over a drum machine. The words may be expressive, but the whole thing isn't MUSICALLY expressive.

It's musically opressive.

Express yourself; record it; sell it to millions; dissappear of the face of the earth the very next summer. Don't call this music. Infact, don't bother making rap. I really don't care what you have to say, hommie.
