So. For the theme of Villains, I said, "what the hell! I've been wanting to FST Itachi for a while now!"
So here it is. Spoilertastic for about chapter 400 onwards. Sorry about that.
Libera Me: An Uchiha Itachi Fanmix

Meet Uchiha Itachi. He’s gorgeous. He’s brilliant. He’s rich. He’s talented. He’s also the man who killed his entire family. The only one he left alive was his little brother, and right now, they don’t have so hot a relationship. He’s on the run, hiding out with a gang of awesome outlaws and taunting said little brother. If there is one thing this boy needs, it’s deliverance.

But, um, that mass murder thing? Totally only because the Hokage told him to do it. And he was actually supposed to kill Sasuke, too. So he’s really a good guy. But of course you don’t learn this until it’s too late and Sasuke’s already killed him.

Because the entire Uchiha family is a bunch of angst-tastic sexpots, that’s why. Haven’t you read the start of the series? Isn’t it the entire reason why there are a million Sasuke fangirls around here, and the Itachi fangirls are just scarier?

And, alright, Itachi killed his entire family when he was thirteen. And then he had to run like hell, and spend the rest of his life with a bunch of wanted criminals, as one of them. All because they couldn’t risk the truth getting out.
Secretly, even Itachi wants to go home some days.

So even though Baby-Brother-Sasuke hates him, and wants him dead, Itachi still looks out for him. He taunts him as best he can, because he knows it’s the only way to get Sasuke to work to beat him. And so he hurts Sasuke, even though it hurts him, too.

In the end, though, Itachi’s just hoping that Sasuke understands what’s so different now. He hopes Sasuke is strong enough to stand on his own two legs. He doesn’t want him knowing everything he did. He just wants him to be strong for himself.

Itachi is an Uchiha. That is to say, he’s a little bit…stubborn. Angry. Violent. Pick whichever you prefer. Either way, it seems like all the Happy Uchiha Family Reunions probably ended in blood and tears and calls to Emergency Medical Services. Maybe it’s a good thing Itachi axed the family…

so this is as good a time as any to point out that, hello, we’re reaching the end of the Itachi Story, and he’s still only what, 18? Not old enough to drink in the US, anyway. And already an S-class missing nin! And then he’s threatening to kill his brother, all so that his brother will kill him, and it’s kind of bloody and violent and sad.
11. Time To Say Goodbye - Simple Plan

It's time to say goodbye
The end is near. Itachi knows it. He can feel it in his muscles, in his blood, in his bones-Sasuke’s been beating the ever-living shit out of him. And that’s what he wanted, after all. So he’s not complaining. He’s just got to carry this on long enough to get what he wants…
12. One Last Breath - Creed

It seems I found the road to nowhere
And I'm trying to escape
I yelled back when I heard thunder
But I'm down to one last breath
And so we come to the end. Itachi kills Orochimaru-for good. Sasuke kills Itachi-also for good. And all of Itachi’s heroic deeds are exposed.
And damn if he’s not still a villain!!
