Too Damn Funny!
Click to viewThis is a must watch! It's a little scary on how many things they got right (religion, nationality, alcohol...). It was filmed in my hometown of Bismarck* so I had a blast catching all the places that was filmed.
*Ok so I didn't grow up in Bismarck but in Mandan** they're twin cities! There's seven miles between the two places (including a river and a county line).
**Ok, ok, I grew up outside of Mandan city limits. But I still went through the Mandan school system. And it took us longer to drive into Mandan than it did to get to Bismarck.
**The kuchen line also cracked me up. My heritage is German-Russian and my husbands is German and Norwegian (with his family really embracing the Norse side). He never had kuchen until our informal wedding reception when my mom bought a lot of wedding kuchen. And I never had lefse until my first year of college.
