(no subject)
Guess whose mom slapped her daughter in the face with a nice dose of reality? Yeah, that would be MINE. :D A much needed slap, I will add. She pointed out how I've wasted away my summer days off of work with my computer. And yes, it's quite true. So yesterday and today I have been catching up. I have a scholarship due in September. I have to read a book and write an essay on it. Simple. Except that book is only available through their website.. nowhere else.. So I figured, to make my mom happy, I ordered. She comes home for our optomitrist appointment, I tell her I ordered it with my debit card, and she says, "Oh. Well, you should have waited." me : *wide eyed, WTF?!* I thought I had done something GOOD, and then she says, "well.. there isn't all that much money in your account now, so if that site isn't trustworthy, you won't be losing all that much, I guess." WTF?!!? I EARNED that money.. though it's not much, it's my summer's work... and she says, "oh it's not a big deal if it's all lost." I was ready to... punch something. But whatever. We figured that the site should be trustworthy; we found it through collegeboard.com... so yeah. It should be fine. Otherwise my summer was a WASTE.
I made a nice To Do list for today.. and have achieved most of it.. I still need to pack, and practice my MANDO! I haven't picked it up in forever.. and I feel awful.. like it's going to waste on a stupid spoiled kid. So yeah... I want to pick it up again and not get so frustrated. :D
My left eye is worse.. so I need new contacts. yeah. I wanted to get new glasses, but my mom said no. There were some really cute ones that I REALLY liked.. but still, she said no. She said next year I'm due for a new pair... so I have to wait .. and hope that those frames, or something similar, will be available. And not the Emo frames, because I look awful in them.
My last day at work is probably going to be the 18th. I'm kinda sad... because I want to keep working there. But I know I have job when I get back for a couple weeks, which is nice. I still have to talk to Alisa about it, but she said that I could do that...
OMG. PROJECT RUNWAY TONIGHT. I'm so excited about it.. OMG. It's going to be SOO good.
