Changes - Deck Donations, Vintage Box, Redemption Center

Jan 01, 2012 09:44

Happy New Year, everyone! With a new year comes a slew of changes in Credits! These affect the Redemption Center and the Vintage Box, so it'll be a good idea to read through them. Guidelines for deck donations have also been relaxed, do look under the cut to find out what have been changed!

Deck Donations
Regular Decks: If you would like to donate insert songs as regular decks, you may! This has already been done in the past few months, but I never really made an official announcement until now. To add on, I previously mentioned that only insert songs with no dialogue may be donated - thinking back now, that makes no sense. So, as long as you believe there are enough scenes for a full deck, go ahead and donate your favourite insert song, dialogue or no, as a regular deck!

We also previously implemented a limit on the number of OP/ED variants that can be donated - the limit has been removed. Again, as long as you feel that the variant OP/ED(s) have enough images for a full deck, you can donate it. Please be sure to offer deckname suggestions too! For variants that only have minor changes, you may want to consider the option of combining the variants in one deck [eg: alright and himitsunokichi] or simply donating your favourite variant.

Puzzle Decks: There're these insert songs and OSTs that are bundled together with Blu-ray discs. If the insert songs and OSTs have their own cover/images (remember, the image has to be related to the series), players can donate those covers/images. But no donating Blu-ray/DVD covers for now! And again, this was never really made official, but if there is an image of the back of a CD/booklet etc that you think will make a pretty puzzle deck, you are free to donate it even if there is already an existing puzzle of the front of the CD/booklet etc!

Special Decks: No change, but I would like to announce that donation prizes for special decks have been revised slightly upwards. Instead of just a Ticket, you'll get a Stamp and a Star! The number of cards remains the same.

Reminders: Just a few things to remember:
-Please name your images in chronological order!
-Please make sure your images have the correct aspect ratio and proportions. Editing images to correct aspect ratio issues is perfectly all right.
-For very new OP/EDs, please make an effort to check and see if/when a creditless version will be released. Sites like CDJapan and Amazon Japan are good places to start - both have English pages and they tend to list down in the product page whether the Blu-ray/DVD will come with textless OP/EDs.

Vintage Box
Card Claims: Card claims have been raised to 5 per week! This applies to all claims from 1 January onwards (and just nice too, it marks the beginning of a new week).

Redemption Center
Gradesheet Completion: Prizes have been tweaked upwards as well. You'll get 2 Stars instead of just one! The number of cards remains the same. This takes effect from 1 January onwards.

Ticket/Stamp Exchanges: The rule prohibiting direct Ticket<->Stamp exchanges has been dropped, so you may exchange Tickets directly for Stamps and vice-versa anytime! There's no limit for now, we'll be keeping an eye on things and see how it goes. 1 Stamp = 2 Tickets! This takes effect from 1 January onwards.

Ticket/Stamp-for-Stars Exchange: The limit has been tweaked upwards to 20 stars per month. Please note that stars are not tradeable among players. This takes effect from 1 January onwards.

Games
Currency in regular games: From now on, currency will be available in some regular games - Stars may be present as part of the best prize in High Note. Karina's Music Match will allow players to earn Stars and Tickets for 4/5 matching cards. And so on.

Stamps in special rounds + event games: And as for Stamps, these will be available, together with stars and tickets, in special rounds for games as well as in event game rounds!

We received a number of feedback asking for more currency to be made available, so hopefully these will be help make up for the shortage! We're also considering other ideas to help distribute more currency, and for now, we'd like time for the aforementioned changes to take effect first - in the meantime, if you have any ideas to give out more currency, feel free to drop by the General Suggestions post to share with us your thoughts!
