I'm against first masteries, as you said it could cause stress and a lot of competition and I'd rather everything stay nice and friendly around here c: While friendly competition is alright, I don't think people should get overly worked up over pixels.

As for which order to write up the listings, I say alphabetical c:

I could go either way. Although as much as I'd like to have bragging rights for the decks I do master first, I have seen the stress it causes and heard of the dishonesty with things. So, the alphabetical order sounds pretty nice.

I don't mind alphabetical order, but I'm more for chronological because I'm just... more used to it? And I'm in charge of masteries anyway so I may be a bit biased. If someone is obsessed enough with the game to cheat to get first mastery, that's a bit much. I'm making sure to check logs and whatnot before awarding masteries, so I guess I have a bit of a heads up in the first masteries thing. But those are my two cents. Feel free to disregard anything orz.

Got shiori01!

Ooh and uhh

for album tasks: I'm assuming the Compilation round for prejoin won't count towards any tasks requiring participation in the game?

To answer your question first, yeah, the prejoin Compilation round won't count towards your task. ;_;

I'm utterly against first masteries; what's the point in competing with others to be the first to complete a deck? You're all fans of the same thing after all. Friendly competition is all well and good, but some may take the race a little too far. Alphabetical listing is would be best!

Thank you for all your work already with fixing deck errors. xD;;

As to #2, I already sort of figured that out myself when I went to claim my first sticker, but if you'll make the concession... *makes a note to head over there after this*

#4... well. I have a big opinion on this. And it's probably an unpopular one, but I feel like I have my own reasons, and they're just as fair, so I'll lay them out, and I'll do my best to be diplomatic, and hope that everyone can afford me the same courtesy if they have a valid rebuttal.

I believe they should be ordered in the way they were mastered.

Firstly because: you may not ordain first masteries and the competition thereby related, however the fact of the matter is, that competition will still exist. Also, harder to provide prove where? To what end? People still have links, they have logs; those don't go away. Again, you taking away the "ease" doesn't make the fact that it exists go away.

I am however fascinated in how you have seemingly implied that people would be "cheating" if they ( ... )

I'm not saying that people are "cheating" if they want to master a deck first. However I have seen instances where people submit masteries in order to be the first master of a certain deck even though their cards are held by other players and they do not technically have all the cards they need. And situations where people actually ask other players to back down from mastering a deck so that they can get that first mastery. And situations where players grab first masteries just to one-up another player. Mara will have no problems checking players' logs to make sure situation 1 doesn't happen. But what about situations 2 and 3 ( ... )

Situation 1 is something the mod in charge of masteries should be doing all along, but I'm not going to say anything more about that, and commend all mods, in all TCGs I've played, for doing their jobs -- it's all thankless work ( ... )

As to going to "extreme lengths" to get first masteries, while it may not seem healthy, sometimes people just want the challenge. For themselves. As long as they play within the rules, I don't find a problem with it.

Regarding a first mastery badge shop, I find it disheartening that the few people who may find this upsetting is ruining the fun of others. I'm getting a sense of the "no child left behind" scenario. Fact of the matter is: if you don't want to participate in the competition for first mastery, no one is making you. If you do, you would need to have a skin thick enough to accept that you may lose the race to someone else, and that they're playing by the same rules you are.

My caution about making first masteries not an option in general is that while they may be taking away incentive for "not-so-ethical" people, you are also intentionally taking away incentive for those who are "ethical" as well ( ... )
