Vote: That Comment Page Layout

Get a load of the new default comment page layout. 9_9

Hello, guys, I'm posting to address the problems arising from the new comment page layout. Issues of aesthetics aside, a whole slew of perfectly good features have been removed. These include, but are not limited to:

-Inability to mass-unscreen comments
-Inability to preview comments before posting
-RIP Subject Titles for comments

There're also a lot of other issues relating to the new comment page, but I'm sure the ones mentioned above are most relevant to you all as TCG mods, particularly the lack of ability to mass-unscreen comments. :|

Now, according to LJ, "we are also planning to create a new S2 commenting style which will appear & function in the same way as the old site scheme commenting page to be included in the near future." They've also promised to look into including the old features into the new layout page and fixing other issues.

So we have 3 options available!

1. Stick to the new default - that is if you don't mind the lack of subject titles.

2. The old features are still available in S2 customized comment pages. Our current layout regrettably doesn't have a customized comment page, but I'm more than happy to go hunting for a simple and effective layout to make our job easier. Functionality over form.

3. Prepare to move to Dreamwidth. Dreamwidth currently has open account creation till the end of the year [I think], so if players want, they can create accounts there. Alternatively, most of our posts aren't locked anyway so they can choose to stay in LJ and comment there anonymously [with their names in the comment] to play games.

But clearly, this will require more work than the above options. On one hand, since LJ has promised to create a new commenting style that will be similar to the old layout, we can simply wait it out (and see if they deliver). On the other, LJ's problems are so deep-seated [with DDoS attacks, lags, downtimes and other issues] that perhaps it's better to move once and for all. Not to mention, since most people are moving to Dreamwidth, there might be a whole set of post-moving problems, hah.

I'd like to know what you think! Since the lack of features affect you mods the most, I figured it's best to know what you would like us to do. After this, I'll ask the entire playerbase.

Thank you for your attention!
