15 seconds of fame...

So it seems like I may end up with a few seconds on national TV for a second time... Again being interviewed about something terribly geeky. But while last time was shoved away on some cable channel (G4 - when I was interviewed dressed in a costume from the game Star Wars: Galaxies) this time it'll be on network TV.

What I've heard is that the morning of Friday March 5th, Good Morning America will be doing a segment on people learning the Na'vi language. They have done at least two sets of interviews now. First they sent a local reporter out on the west coast to get some footage in San Francisco. Then this week they brought some east coast people into the New York Botanical Garden in Bronx and sent the GMA crew out to interview them. (Guess which set of footage I think will be more likely to make the story.... Did I mention they also put up a couple of the east coast people in a very nice hotel for the night?) Likely they will also talk with Prof. Paul Frommer of USC who created the language.

Anyway, long story short... I was part of the group that they filmed in SF, so I may get at least a little air time. Needless to say... I'll be getting it on TiVo and saving it. :)
