My First REAL Update in a While

Sep 27, 2004 17:58

It suddenly occurred to me that I hadn't updated in a while.

I'm sick right now. Not thinking straight. This might be amusing to go back and read later. I hope to entertain you all with my very non-Englishness right now.

Ok, let's get started.

Let's begin on a high point. It's Pick On Taylor Day in the apartment. It's usually Pick On Jen Day, so I'm enjoying the fresh turn of events. He's a gimp this week. Poor boy couldn't even march with the drum line this weekend. So we're yelling on him and forcing him to sit still...not as easy as you'd think. It's just so easy to pick on a gimp...

Another high point. My life seems to be full of them lately. I guess being sick just balances that out. I bought a car. A real, honest to goodness, NEW car, in MY name. 2004 black Nissan Sentra. My baby. Haven't named it yet. Wanted to call it Lucky, because I was damn lucky to finally get a NEW car, but then decided calling a car Lucky was invitation for an accident, so we're still thinking on this one. It's so refreshing to finally have working A/C, now that summer's almost over. We'll be riding to the Toby Keith concert in style this Thursday.

Thursday. Toby Keith in Kissimmee. 4 rows back. Becca and I, along with my dad ans sis, will be drinking in the aura and voice of one of country music's finest.

Gator Football. Well, we won this week, but don't get me started on our offense right now. Chris Leek is a gorgeous man, but a lousy football player lately. Three, count them, THREE times, we got within sight of the goal...mere yards, and wound up losing the ball on a 4th down to Kentucky. Did they want the touchdown handed to them on a silver platter?

E Portugues. Eu gosto de Portugues. Quero estudar muito e tenho uma prova sexta-feira.

Hmmm...what else has been going on? I'm waiting on Chinese food tonight. The roomies went out last night DURING the storm to find Chinese food, because last time, during Francis (isn't it sad how we can mark the weeks by the storms), Wok n Roll was open the whole time. They found two places with hour-long waits, so we got Chinese-blue-balled and made a makeshift dinner. So tonight we are SO getting Chinese.

Now, I should probably read my Poe poetry. Good plan...
