Kitty needs a home.
Hello friends, guruwench is looking for a home to a lovely kitty named Mittens. Please read below and in comments leave a message if interested. I'll make sure you guys get in touch.
My hunny N and I took in Mittens around the end of August to help out a friend who'd rescued Mittens from being discarded at the local experimental farm due to being unwanted. Mittens, however, was not getting along with my friend's existing cat, and since she has a small one-bedroom apartment, keeping Mittens was clearly not possible nor fair to anyone.
We took in Mittens, thinking a friend of ours may really like her, but that fell through. By the time we connected with this friend and got that verdict, we were becoming attached to her, so we decided to keep her for the time being.
Well, it's been three months, and things are not working out well in the kitty family. We already had four cats, and the eldest kitty, Roo, does not get along with Mittens, or to be fair, Mittens won't leave Roo alone. This is causing Roo a good deal of stress, and she's inappropriately peeing and pooping. This has to stop. :(
Mittens is a wonderful, sweet, loving, affectionate kitty who would do very well in a household with no children, no dogs (previous bad experience with them), and either no cats or one other kitty max. She's about 4 years old, has not been spayed, has all her claws, and appears to be in good health. We have not had her to a vet to be examined, so that is something her new people would need to take care of.
We adore Mittens, but it's not fair to her to keep her when she isn't integrating super well with all the kitties, nor is it fair to Roo to keep Mittens when Mittens keeps bothering Roo. Roo is the eldest kitty of the house, and has a disposition that really make her unsuitable for adopting out, plus - she was here first. Mittens is a sweetheart and should be easy to rehome.
If any of you know anyone in the Ottawa, Ontario area (or within say half an hour's drive) who would be interested in a new kitty and would be good forever parents for her, please let me know. Feel free to boost the signal on this if you would like.
