Love Me
Sometimes I wonder why you avoid me. I don’t recall ever hurting your feelings or saying something that might have rubbed you the wrong way. In sooth, I admire you. I always stand in awe of your remarkable talents and have always dreamed of learning things from you.
But I can’t. I’m too dim-witted to learn from you. I just tire you with my trifling pieces. I’m not worthy a blink of your eyes.
I wish I could say that it’s all right with me that way. I cannot. It breaks my heart to see you coddle others, your dearly loved friends. And as for me - I can only curl up, on my own, in the corner, pondering on when I can finally be part of it. Part of you.
