Hey! How are you? I actually went to NYC in November and saw Equus! If I had been on here, I'd have remembered you lived there, right? God, I'm horrible. How are you?
lol - I'm doing well. I was down in the City to see Equus on Dec 5th. I hope to make it down again in the next couple weeks - I still haven't got my autograph yet!
Your icon is amazing. I got pictures, but no autographs. IMO, I'd rather have pictures to look at, as opposed to an autograph. I did get to talk to him though! For about three seconds.
Awesome that you got to talk to him - what did you say? I'm afraid no matter how much I rehearse what I'd like to say it would all come out as gibberish - I don't do well at face to face with people - lol. The 2 nights I was in NYC he did not come out at all because of circumstances. In London they were working on the street at the stage door & he didn't come out at all. So - I still want to get my face-to-face. It's great that you got to.
Gah -- I'd always pictured it like that too -- I'd have no idea what to say and would just mumble and drool. I have to give credit to my travel buddy; she gave me the idea. After our performance, the performers auctioned off one of Dan's shirts. Next day, my buddy wants to go back and wait for him after the performance so she could get some good pics. So I stood there while he signed, and when he came closer, I asked, "How did the auction go tonight?"
He said it went well, a pair of his jeans from the performance went for $1000 or $1600. I said that was great, and that was pretty much it, but if I'd thought about it, I should've asked, "What will you be auctioning tomorrow?" or "What's left to donate?" or something clever that I ultimately didn't say. *lol* Still, there were witnesses, and it was pretty awesome. :)
