Yayz!!
I am off of school for the next 30 days or so! I can't wait to sleep in.
I got home at 3:00, took a nap, watched Food Network, made a chicken and bacon quesadilla for dinner, and here I am.
I have a lot of little things to get done this month, plus I wanted to transcribe a few more journals and actually work on some older, original stories. So if a checklist pops up in the next day or so, that's why.
Still want to go to London. Will I? I don't know. I've got about $700 saved up, plus about that same amount coming back from taxes, so it's a remote possibility I'll have enough to scrape by for a few days. But if I don't go in March, then it gets iffy with the time frame. We come back the first week in April, and that first Friday is the start of our four day Spring Break. (Yes, four days only)
So I was thinking maybe going Thursday (missing school) and coming home on Monday (last day of break). That's three full days there, plenty of time, right? Gah. I wish I had just done it earlier for March, but there was no money and I was still waffling. I still am waffling, but now with money as an actuality.
ARGH. Can I win the lottery, please? Please.
It really is a rude awakening to own a house and have no money except for about the first three weeks of the month. I don't eat out, don't buy Starbucks, and yet I have no money. We've been doing good on PG&E, though, and water.
We don't vote on a possible raise until the end of March, which I won't see any extra money for a few months. Sis2 wants to pay a bit more of the mortgage, you know, round up the total we owe, and I'd like to do that, but I'm literally out of money. As in something like $8 to my name after house, car, insurance, gym dues, food, gas, house bills and cell.
On a side, completely unrelated note, my new favorite breakfast is a toasted English muffin with chunky peanut butter. Mmmmmm.
