One by one they all updated their blogs, save Hizaki, to let everyone know that they're alive and unharmed. Eh, the staff ensured us that as a whole the band is okay, this includes Hizaki, I presume.

Oh yes, Matenrou Opera is also okay. They were in rehearsal when the earthquake struck, but Anzi updated the official Matenrou blog. EDIT: Yo-san (bass) has not yet (as far as I know) been able to contact his older brother who works on a transit boat. :( His brother is fine :)
That's about as much info as I have regarding bands. EDIT: A list of bands that have been confirmed safe can be found here. From there is a link to a list of JPop artists also confirmed safe.
Um, San Francisco was on tsunami watch for a while. Not sure if they still are or not, but the damage is nowhere near as exponential. People had to evacuate though. I'm trying not to pay too much attention for fear that I'll get depressed, but if it matters at all, I'm way in the valley so no flood waters here.
My prayers are with the people of Japan.
