Metamorphose

I continued my quest exploring Versailles-members' old bands. rosen_schwert  gave me a nice long list of Lareine mini-albums to explore, and with that I decided to work my way through it gradually. Next I went to check out two of Hizaki's old bands, pre-Hizaki Grace Project. These were Schwardix Marvally and Sulfuric Acid. I'll talk about Sulfuric Acid another time I suppose.

My focus is on the song "Metamorphose" which I first heard on Hizaki Grace Project's album Curse of Virgo. It's an instrumental, one of the best on the album I think (even though it only has five tracks). I've loved this song for a while, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that "Metamorphose" is actually from Schwardix Marvally... and it has vocals! I come bearing both. Please listen to some of the instrumental from Curse of Virgo first so that you will understand the differences in the way the melody is presented.

Finally, I will say that I like them both in their own way. Obviously the original "Metamorphose" was written to accommodate vocals, whereas "Metamorphose" by HGP was revamped to accommodate for the lack of vocals. And of course, the obvious, the video for HGP's is using the digitally remastered release of the album, so the quality is largely improved anyway, haha

So?
