And the snow kept falling...
It snowed again today! Tim and I went to Jackson's to get some cash, bread, orange juice, and beer. The Breakfast of Champions. There was still snow left over from yesterday and the sidewalks were well covered. The streets were thick with slush with more snow falling and sticking all the time.
And the snow kept falling.
I wanted to take a picture but I knew that no photograph I would take could capture the beauty. The benches in the park and the tall leafless trees with their tops and branches full of snow, the snow falling all the time, the sweet cold wind, the darkening sky, the stone walls and houses. At a stop-light I took a picture of the park from the car. The picture was little better than a child's snapshot. I wish I could capture it the way Jacques-Louis David could paint. We got back, threw our groceries in the kitchen, saddled up Piddy and walked down the street to meet Tim's mom at the chippy. When Tim's pizza was done we all walked back to the house, ate, and then played with Piddy on the back garden for a couple of minutes.
