It's that time again! I feel like this fall is going to be AMAZING for television, and to help me keep track of it all, this is my List.
Ugly Betty
"How Betty Got Her Grieve Back"
Thursday, Sept 27th at 8:00 pm on ABC
Comments: I love this show. LOVE. And the finale was stellar! The promo clip (
The Fashion Elf) already has me in stitches, and I'm dying to find out what happens to my favorite TV pairing, Betty and Henry. It's such a feel-good show, and it makes me laugh. That's the best way to relax every Thursday night... especially right before a heart-pounding episode of Grey's Anatomy, haha.
Priority: Highest
Grey's Anatomy
"A Change is Gonna Come"
Thursday, Sept 27th at 9:00 pm on ABC
Comments: I admit that Season 3 was not my favorite thing. I'd go so far as to call it weak and forgettable. (George and Izzie? Seriously?!) I wasn't too excited about the new season... until I saw
this and
this. Looks like the spunk is back, my friends. ;D Grey's was what brought me back to the TV world, and I'm not going to give up on it. In other news, I don't anticipate on watching Private Practice. I'm sorry, Addison. :(
Priority: High
Pushing Daisies
"Pilot"
Fall season (to be updated) on ABC
Summary: "A man who has the power to bring the dead back to life with the touch of his hand - unless he touches them again, at which point they return permanently to death - works with a private detective to query murder victims about who killed them. He finds himself in trouble when he revives a deceased woman who turns out to be his childhood love."
Preview clip.
Comments: I think I'm going to love this SO MUCH. It's got the colors, the personality, and it's fresh! I couldn't ask for a better series.
Priority: High
Heroes
"Four Months Later..."
Monday, Sept 24 at 9:00 pm on NBC
Comments: I've grown attached to the characters, and I need to see Peter, Hiro, and Mohinder! XD Unfortunately, I've had trouble keeping up in the past, and I foresee it happening again. I'm hoping I'll have time to watch anyway because the future episode was one of the best things I've ever seen. Peter vs. Sylar, WOW.
Promo clip, narrated by Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy), one of my favorite TV voices.
Priority: Medium
Bionic Woman
"Pilot"
Wed, Sept 26 at 9:00 pm on NBC
Comments: I saw the pilot at Comicon, and it was surprisingly good! However, I know that if I hadn't seen it at Comicon, I wouldn't consider it. It also looks darker than anything I'm used to, but I'm going to give it a try. Who knows? It might pull a Firefly on me and go from off-my-radar to new favorite. :)

Priority: Low
OTHER SHOWS (lowest priority)
America's Next Top Model - This is a show I just watch. You don't have to keep up with it, so it's low maintenance. Perfect!
Private Practice - I hope to give the first episode a try, but I really don't think I'll be watching it. Sadly, most California-based shows don't work for me. I also hate that Addison left Grey's to start a new life for absolutely no reason at all. It doesn't make sense! The set-up that aired with Grey's was unfortunately mediocre and boring; I was in pain through half of it. :( I LOVE her character! What happened?
Journey Man - I already know I won't have time for this show, but the premise looks interesting. It reminds me of Traveler, the failed hit on ABC -- another show I really wanted to watch that honestly looked good but just wasn't timed right. I think Journey Man will do well in the timeslot it was given though (right after Heroes).
Chuck - Looks hilarious but again, I don't think I'll have time for so many shows. Boo! If I had to choose between this and The Office, I'd choose the latter. But wait... The Office airs during the same timeblock as Grey's. Maybe Chuck has a chance after all. I'll most likely end up watching it randomly, like what I did with How I Meet Your Mother.
Gossip Girl - This is totally not my kind of show, but the promos look good! And hey, I liked The O.C. before it got weird. XD (GG is by the same creator.)
Moonwalk - I don't know ANYTHING about this show except that the main character's a vampire/detective. Mmm! ;) I probably won't be watching, but I hope it'll be good.
The result? I'm going to be watching waaaay too much TV. XD I'm betting that by November, I'll only be keeping up with 2, maybe 3 if I'm lucky. Sigh.
