backing up, japantown and nodame...NOT
Remember my rants about computer problems I had at the end of February this year? I mean some of you read my posts at the time, and I'm sorry for being so much of a geek back then.
I still am, not to the point of Junno or Nino or even Yoko, but I know how to install Linux now! XP
Anyway, I'm finally backing up my +300giga files I have. Well not all of them since I probably erased some during my PC adventure but I know I'll retrieve some, thanx to Photorec.
I only have 600 mo left of free space on my hard drive, I really needed to do the back up now and have another 500giga hard drive all empty to stuff up.
See what the thing looks like.
Hell right? Like I said months ago, it renamed every of my videos I had downloaded for over 2 years. I had all organized them and renamed them like this [name of the show] date band - song + talk (subbed or not) and now I'll have to rename them all. Yeah I said I was happy enough to get to retrieve some at least, but renaming them all is a bit...tiring, and have no time for now anyway...maybe later when I have like a whole week off.
Still have more than 7 hours to wait. I'll let it work all night then.
Just because I want to hug my cat and because I want to "promote" him as in produce (CHUN-YU!)
So, about my "trip" to Japantown and Nodame.
To clear things, No, we haven't seen the cast. Blame the totally clueless we were, no hints, nothing.
The only videos that leaked later were them in Vienna, and the host said at the end "the cast have more filming to do and next is in Paris". From what I understood. But please, there's not hint there!
We checked for fun at the Opera, just in case, even asked some guys there if there was a filming that day; well obvious there wasn't but you know, it's located near Japantown and so many japanese were there and me and my japanese radar were eyeing every asian like mad!
I met floppy_snoopi in front of Junju-do, the store where they sell the Johnnys magazines, we OF COURSE went inside and I bought two magz. Been a month so. Yeah I plan to scan them, but when? Unless someones beats me to it. We fangirled over the DUET and so on, and I was happy I must say!
I usually go there on my own and squee on your own is sad. Plus you get strange stares. And it's just no fun.
We mostly squinted about RyoDa, cause that's how she and I met, on turf_fanfix and I must say, she's quite the squinter! Ha ha I met her for the first time at Japan Expo and I found her rather funny.
By the way cel_chan you need to read my post about Japan Expo! You said so! *pouts*
Anyway...
After that we went to eat cause we were hungry, both floppy_snoopi and me haven't eaten much for the day and it was already 4pm.
We went to Juji-ya, my fave canteen, and I admit I sorta forcefully my friend there cause all she wanted was sushi and I wanted a bento and eat like a new otaku, I mean by that, not sushi. XD
I hope she liked it, she didn't tell me...
That's what I had. A mix of many things, it would have been cheaper for a bento but I didn't want one exactly.
And for dessert there was something called "gâteau à la fraise" that looked a bit like the Strawberry on the shortcake japanese always eat and the one I want to try because I always see it on dramas.
It was very good, Very light and had peach slices in the end. Yummy!
Then I tried again the super japanese style toilet I mentionned before, but today I noticed they turned off the special buttons. Maybe all the otaku go there and push all the buttons to try. At least the seat was warm. But I wanted to try the water thing!!!!!
We then went for Opera and that was the end of the Nodame Cantabile's cast search...We haven't really searched anyway, more like fangirls meet as usual, and open eyes if CHiaki-sempai is around but with not hints as to where they might be, our chances are very slim...we ended up doing some shopping. It's still sales times in France after all!
The last thing we did was get to Starbucks and try the new Lemon Ice tea with greent tea flavor and some choco piece in it, like a tiny nugget. And while drinking it, the choco started to crumble and there was many everywhere in the tea. Very good!
Then we part ways in the metro. Maa that's it for now, I have to work tomorrow, but only for a day. Then it's National Day with fireworks and stuff, and also floppy_snoopi's birthday and maybe Chiaki-sempai and Nodame will be at the Eiffel Tower watching Hanabi. But that's only what we think, if they're here, why not there for National Day?
