sometimes, i like to prepare things that probably won't happen, but i just like to know some stuff.
so i started imagining that i'm in american idol, and started thinking of what i shall sing for the songs from my birth year. i had never gonna give you up by rick astley, detroit rock city by KISS... and to my horror, THIS SONG is from my birth year.

way better okay.
but well, part of the really biased me think that it's an awesome song cause it just goes BARCELONA!!!
on a sidenote, i think i'm starting to get over the whole omg-i-lost-the-cross-angie-gave-me-for-my-birthday-which-i-wore-for-everyday-since-then saga. it's like, i read somewhere that we should remember the cross for the significance that jesus died on the cross to save us and i shouldn't let the other sentimental values attached to it override that. and i bought an exactly the same one, so it's not bad already, i guess.
met up with my sc perc section last night and i had so much fun. remember how we were talking about how since we joined band, we kept getting new instruments, like how we didn't know how a cowbell actually looks like until the new one came. i really thought the cowbell was just a part of some instrument/equipment that dropped out and happened to produce a sound we needed. and also the new windshines (two layers), damn awesome. new timpani, whoa! new drumset, snare drum, glock, chimes, marimba, vibes, tambourines, shakers, maracas. a bit overspending, but just thinking of it still makes me really happy.
and i really miss eunice so much, i haven't seen her the longest and our timings just don't match, urgh...
and met up with wanling for a short while to chat. it's kindda funny how we were never close in jc, it's not like we didn't like each other, i like her pretty much as a junior, but just never close. it's amazing what god did to me after coming to new creation. and we had such a good talk tonight, and it's like updating each other about our lives for the past few months, and i'm really happy to see what god did for her, which for our age is mainly coping well with studies, and i was really happy to share with her what awesome stuff god did for me too.
i really can't wait for the end of the year, when it's australia's three-month-break, and i'll get to see lots of people coming back :D
off to hong kong and china for a few weeks tomorrow! thank god for a great maid, phew~
