Hmmm... random thoughts.
Well I was just sitting here reading through other peoples journals and I realized that everyone I know is creative and intelligent and driven. How the hell did you guys ever get to know ME! I feel like I'm the opposite of those things all the time.
On another note. I was just offered a job for over the summer. Since I work at a college I can have the summer off if I choose. Now I would love to take this job. It includes a cabin on Cayuga lake, room, board, and a great group of people to work with. BUT.... I won't have time to enjoy any of that because i would be in a kitchen from 5:30 in the morning until eight at night, five days a week. I would also be making lunch for an extra six hundred people on sunday, which is a chicken BBQ and would require a minimum of six to eight hours to pull off. All this for an incredible ....*gasp* $350 a week. I was thoroughly insulted. That would be just about half time at my current job. Now I haven't been an engineer for a long time but the math doesn't seem to add up to me. Frankly I was insulted again. And this was the second offer they made, after I told them they would have to at least double the first offer (300 by the way.)
I was quite happy to see hot cheese and my junk referenced in a birthday wish (not to me) today.
