The Womans Prayer
Dear Lord, so far today, im doing okay; i havnt had any affairs, burnt the toast or forgotten to feed the hampster. i havnt bitched, gossiped or eaten chocolate. i havnt charged my credit cards, had a hissy fit or given in to my want to slap the rude girl at the shop counter. i havnt deserted the housecleaning, or spent all my money on frivilous things. i have not been dirty minded or envious of any of my skinny friends. i have not thought about putting arsenic in my mother-in-laws coffee.
but im going to get out of bed now, and will need a lot more help after that.
