Summary: Shinya was thrown on the streets; force to live with is best friend. He needed help but didn’t know where to turn to for help. Luckily he didn’t have to go far to find his knight in shinnying armor but will he regret his decision and go back to the one person who manage to ruin his life in only one day?

Chapter eight

A month had passed since the baby scare and six months pregnant Shinya was sitting on the couch with Die and Toshiya waiting on Kyo to come pick him up. "Are you sure you don't me to go with you sweetheart?" said Toshiya. "Yea Totchi, I don't think it would be a good idea if you came anyway. I don't need you and Kyo fighting all the time" said Shinya.

"What about me?" said Die. Toshiya looked at Die like he was stupid.

"What the hell do you want to go for?"

Shinya started blushing because he knew Die was about to tell Toshiya about their relationship. All this time they had spent together and Toshiya thought he was just being a nice guy. No one knew about their relationship.

"Me and Shinya are dating now." Die said.

Toshiya's mouth dropped and his eyes went wide. "It's about damn time! I thought you'd never speak up." Shinya blinked a few times and turned to Toshiya.

"You knew? How?"

"Well I knew Die has had a crush on you since we were sophomores, he's just been to chicken to say anything until now."

HONK HONK HONK HONK

"That's Kyo." said Shinya. "Do I have everything? Yeah. I think I do." he said.

"Ya know when people start talking to themselves it's not a good sign." said Die. Shinya grabbed his things and glared at Die.

"Oh shut up and walk me to the car." he said. Die and Shinya walked to the door and saw Kyo was talking on the phone. As they were walking, Die had his arm around his waist and whispered in his ear.

"Call me if anything happens, I'll come get you." he said.

"Thanks Die." he said. Die kissed Shinya on the lips when they reached the car and put his stuff in the back seat. He put his hand on Shinya's stomach and talked to his unborn children.

"Now you be good boys for mommy okay?" said Die smiling. He gave Shinya another quick kiss and let him get in the car.

"Bye hime, I'll see you in a few days. Don't forget to call me when you get there." he said. Kyo had long gotten off the phone and was watching them ever since Die kissed his ex. He would be lying if he said he wasn't mad. He always knew about Die's crush on Shinya, hell everybody knew.

"Die your worse than Totchi." said Shinya smiling. Die just shrugged and smiled.

"One more from the babies?" he said.

"Any excuse for a kiss huh?" said Shinya. Die started pouting. "Okay okay," he said and kissed Die on the lips. "Now go in the house you making us late. Tell Totchi I said bye." he said. Die waved goodbye one more time and walked in the house as Kyo and Shinya drove off.

It was quiet for hours and both Kyo and Shinya didn't say anything. He much rather prefer they didn't talk until they got there. Shinya was starting to feel queasy so he reached behind him grabbed his bag of food and put in his lap.

"Are you hungry?" he said, not looking up from his bag.

"I'm fine."

Shinya didn't argue but instead went back to finding something to eat. He picked crackers and club soda to help settle his stomach and ate in silence. It was another 2 more hours before they spoke again. Shinya had been staring out the window when he notice Kyo was about to light a cigarette.

"Don't." he said.

"Why not?" said Kyo. "I haven't had one since this morning and I need one."

"Well to bad. I'm pregnant remember?" said Shinya. Kyo sighed, rolling his eyes he put the cigarette back and Shinya went back to staring when his phone rung. He looked at the caller ID. It was Totchi.

"Yes Totchi what is it?"

"Are you almost there yet? I want you to come home. Die won't shut up about you."

"No Totchi, it's still a ways away. Give Die the phone" he said. Kyo glance over and looked at him funny. 'Why does he want to talk to Die, they're suppose to hate each other.' he said to himself.

"Die, stop bugging Totchi. I'll be home in a few days."

"But Shin I miss you."

"Find something to do."

They talked about random things and Kyo had zoned out of their conversation when the word 'babies' was brought up.

"Oh the babies are fine. I was feeling a little sick so I ate some soda and crackers. It helped a little but I think the rest are from the pot holes in the road." he said rubbing his stomach. "Yea okay Die I gonna go to sleep now okay?

"Okay, call me when you get there. I love you, bye Shin." said Die

Shinya smiled. He liked hearing those words from someone who actually meant it. "I love you too Die." he said. "Bye and be good." he said and hung up. He put his phone in his lap and rubbed his belly.

"What was all that about?" said Kyo.

Shinya frowned. He had hoped he didn't have to talk to Kyo until they got to Hiroshima. "What?"

"You and Die. I thought you too hated each other and now you’re in love?"

"It's none of your business." he said softly and closed his eyes and went to sleep, his hand still on this belly. Kyo snorted and shrugged.

"Yea whatever."

Shinya had been absently mindedly scratched at his stomach for about 10mins before his phone went off.

*buzz buzz*

It was Shinya's phone vibrating with a text message from Die

~Incoming text message~

From: Die
To" Shin ai

I almost 4got 2 tell u. I knew ur tummy wud itch so I put that cream stuff in ur bag. Use it.....or face hideous stretch marks

He closed his phone and reached back behind him and looked around looked for the cream he was talking about. When he found it he put his bag on the floor and opened the tube. He lifted his shirt and pulled his pants down passed his hips. He squirted the thick cream on his fingers and applied it all around his stomach.

"What are you doing?" said Kyo.

"The doctor gave me this to stop the itching. Die put it in my bag, I forgot about it till he texted me." he said not lifting his head.

"Why does it itch?"

"Because the babies is growing so my belly is stretching to make room for them." said Shinya.

"Whoa! Hold the hell up! What the hell do you mean 'babies?" said Kyo.

Shinya rolled his eyes at his stupidity. "Babies, plural... as in more than one."

"Holy fuck man..."

"Yeah tell me about it. Me and Die found out last month." said Shinya rubbing the cream over the sides.

"You and Die are really close now huh?" Kyo said bitterly.

"Why should you care? At least he's there for me." he said putting the stuff back in his bag. He wiped his hands on his tracksuit bottoms and pulled his clothes back up.

"So are you two dating now or something?" Kyo said his voice still cold.

"It's none of your business Kyo." said Shinya who had turned his attention back to his phone, texting Die.

"The hell it is. That's...those are still my babies." he said.

Shinya shut his phone hard and turned to Kyo. "Please tell me you did not just fucking say that!  You left me remember? You don't even want me to keep it, so no not your kids. They're Die's kids. It should have been his kids to begin with." he said harshly.

"So you are dating." he said

"Yes Kyo we are. He is helping me take care of them. He has taken me to doctor's appointments, bought the medicines I needed. He even took me the hospital at five in the morning after I started bleeding." he said.

"You didn't tell me you were in the hospital." Kyo said softly.

“Yeah well I got tired of dealing with you so I stopped calling and texting you all together, just like you wanted me to. And it’s not like you would have cared anyway."

"Shin I would have cared about something like that." he said.

Whatever Kyo." he said. Shinya unbuckled his seatbelt and got in the back. "I'm going to sleep."

He pulled out his baby blanket from under the seat and pulled it over his head. "Wake me up when we get there."

Why is he acting like he cares all the sudden? He actually sounded like he was worried about me and the babies. Maybe he'll change his mind and come back with me after all

Miles and miles went on and they still haven't reached Hiroshima, they weren't even close. Kyo had pulled over at a rest area to check for the nearest hotels. He was getting sleepy and it had been storming for an hour and was not letting up. He would have been at the house by tomorrow afternoon but he didn’t want to take that risk so he called.

It rung a few times before a tired voice answered.

"Moshi moshi?"

"Mana, it raining really bad so were going to stop at a hotel okay?" he said. He could hear his baby crying in the background and smiled. "Has she been to sleep at all?"

Mana sighed and yawned softly. "A little but not for long." Shinya was starting to wake up as he felt the car had stopped moving. He was about to speak when Kyo started talking again.

"Okay, I'll call you before we get there. Tell Kanon I said 'Daddy will be home soon." he said.

"Mmmm, Kyo? Did you tell Shinya about me yet?"

"No I was going to wait until he saw you."

"Kyo tell him before you get here okay? I don't want him getting upset like that. It's not healthy."

"Okay, I'll tell him. I love you. Bye hime." he said. He hung up the phone and booked a room online from his phone. He was about to get back on the road when Shinya got back in the front seat wrapped up in his ducky baby blanket.

"Was that your lover?" he said softly. Forget what I said earlier about coming back to me...

"Yeah. Look we're going to stay at a hotel till the morning. It hasn't stopped raining and I can't see in the dark." he said. He started up the car and they were silent the rest of the car ride. When they arrived at the hotel, Kyo and Shinya walked to the front desk and checked in. They got their room key and went to the rooms. When they opened the door Shinya saw that they only had one bed. He didn't say anything but went to unpacking. He went to the bathroom with his change of clothes and went to take a shower. As he was washing his hair he thought about Die, realizing he had taken Die's body wash and started to smile. He looked at his belly and smiled even more. He was glad he and Die were dating; Die had been so good to him just like he promised. After carefully washing his belly he got out, putting on a robe. He walked out to see Kyo lying across the bed watching TV. Shinya sat on the edge of the bed drying his hair and dialing Die's number.

"Moshi moshi?" said a very tired Die.

"I'm sorry did I wake you?" he said

"Shin? Is that you?"

"Yea Die. We're at a hotel right now. Kyo said he didn't want to drive in the rain and he was tired so we'll be there by nighttime. Everything okay over there?"

"Yea......wait no!!! Shin I meant to call you earlier but Totchi took my phone!!

Shinya took the phone away from his ear. "What is it? What happened?"

"Okay now promise you won't freak?"

"I promise."

"Totchi went to the hospital after you left and he's pregnant too!!!" yelled Die.

"WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?” Shinya yelled back. He looked back after hearing a loud 'Ahh' and saw that Kyo fell off the bed in surprised, hitting his head on the nightstand.

"That's what I said."

"Well what did Kaoru say?"

"He cried. He was so happy about being a dad that he cried." said Die.

"Wow, Totchi a mommy. I never thought I'd see the day."

"I know."

"What did your parents say?"

"They were really freaked about it. They blamed it on you. Said you were a bad influence on him and that you turned their son into a whore and that lead to another fight and he moved in with Kaoru."

"Really, he's always trying to defend my honor. Wow just about everybody I know either has a baby or wants one." He was thinking about Kai and Uruha and wondered if they will ever have babies. Even if Uruha can't carry children, he was sure it was treatment to change that.

"What? Who else are you talking about?"

"No one. Never mind." Just then Shinya's stomach started to cramp up. He clutched the sheets and cried in the phone. Kyo went to him and held him up.

"Shinya are you okay?" said Kyo.

Shinya took deep breaths and ignored Kyo. Die was still on the other line and screaming frantically.

"Die its okay. My stomach just started cramping up really bad is all."

"You sure? Do you need to go to the hospital?" said Die concerned for his boyfriend and children's health.

"We're fine, really Die. I just haven't eaten yet. I'll call you if anything happens.” he said. They murmured their 'I love you's and Shinya hung up. He noticed Kyo was still in the room and holding him by the waist. Shinya blushed and went to his bag and got his cream. "Can you put this on for me?" he said turning back to him.

"Yea, just lay on the bed." he did what he was told and lifted his shirt and pulled down his pants. Kyo was carefully applying the medicine. Afraid he would do something wrong. "Shinya, I want to tell you who it is I've been seeing." said Kyo. He had put the tube on the nightstand and sat up. Shinya pulled his clothes back on and waited for him to speak.

"It's Mana, from art class." he said. Shinya sat in a daze as he tried to process what he was just told. Mana, emotionally scared, traumatized, antisocial Mana. The one person in the world who you dared not to touch? And Kyo got him pregnant? He had to tell Toshiya. He remained silent and grabbed his phone and called his friend.

"Shin? What's wrong?" said Toshiya. He had sounded like he woke up.

"Totchi I'm sorry I'm calling you this late but it's important."

"What is it?"

"It's Mana. Kyo's other women is Mana."

"You've got to be freakin kidding me! You serious?" he sounded wide awake now.

"Yea he just told me. We stopped at a hotel because of the weather.

"Wow.....are you okay?" he said

"Ya know I am actually. This would have killed me had I not had Die but now I don't even care."

"Really? You’re a good one cause I would have flipped. I wish Kaoru would cheat on me, especially now. I'd chop off his dick and put it in the blender."

“Tres harsh* Totchi."

"Yeah well he'd deserve it."

"Besides you wouldn't do it. You love sex with him waay too much to castrate him.

"Oh yeah your right. We just got done having mind blowing sex...I'm already sore."

"Oh yeah, speaking of Kaoru. Congratulations Totchi. I hear your gonna be a mommy also." he said smiling.

Toshiya smiled and looked at his lover who was sleeping. "Yep, Kaoru just went to sleep so no mentioning the 'b' word around him for awhile. I swear Shin; he has this kid's life planned out and everything. What he'll wear on the first day of school, boyfriends and girlfriends, when they're allowed to wear make up, when they can get piercing, curfews. Everything Shin. Even how no matter what sex the baby is, they will be able to beat yout kids in everything. So your little Die Jr’s. have a rival already...you better look out. "

"My poor babies..." he said holding his swollen belly. "...how will they ever survive?" he said sarcastically. “So what are you gonna do? With school I mean."

"I'll still go to school and all try to graduate. I already started moving my stuff at Kao's place. I'm not going back to that place."

"Well how far along are you?"

"The doctor told me around two months. I guess that's why I haven't been feeling well."

"That's nice Totchi, I'm happy for you and Kaoru, really."

"Thank you Shin ai." he said yawning loudly. "I'll talk to you later. I had a big day and I still haven't dealt with Die yet."

"Okay, goodnight Totchi." he said. He hung up and went back in the room and Kyo was on the phone with Mana.

"Yea I just told him...."pause." No I don't know if he's okay." pause. "Oh he just came out of the bathroom, do you want to talk to him?" He looked at Shinya who nodded and Kyo gave him the phone. "Moshi moshi?"

"Shinya, its Mana.

"I know." he said.

"Are you mad?" he said softly.

Shinya could hear loud crying in the background and Mana cooing the baby. "No Mana, I'm not mad, just surprised really. No offense but your last person I thought would have a baby. Is that your baby in the back?"

"Yes, her name is Kanon. She just woke up and is very hungry."

"Kanon...What a pretty name. Congratulations Mana, really. I'm happy for you."

"Thank you Shinya."

"Mana? Can I ask a question?"

"Sure, go ahead."

"Did it hurt? Giving birth I mean."

"Well I don't know. I had a C-section. I couldn't keep my weight constant and I went into labor early."

He bit his lip at the thought of having the babies prematurely. Die would have a bloody cow if he wasn’t' there for the birth.

"What about stretch marks? That’s what I'm really concerned about."

Mana laughed at Shinya's comment. "No I got lucky. They gave me this cream and I used it WAAAY more then I really needed to but, at least I still have even, stretch free skin."

"God that’s a relief. The pain I think I can handle, with enough drugs but stretch marks? That would kill me. Thank you Mana."

"Your welcome Shinya, now get some rest. I look forward to showing you all the clothes I wore while I was pregnant. Ja ne."

Shinya gave Kyo back the phone and smiled. He went to get in the bed and Kyo finished his conversation in the hallway. When he came back he saw Shinya was texting. "Is everything alright?"

"Yea." Kyo pulled some extra blankets out of the closet and set them on the floor.

"Kyo what are you doing?"

"Going to sleep."

"You can sleep in the bed. Just be careful how you sleep." he said.

Kyo got off the floor and got in the bed. Shinya was lying on his back and texing Die and absent mindedly rubbing his belly. Kyo could see the bump from under the cover and reached out and touched it, making Shinya jump.

"Kyo what are you doing?"

"I just want to rub it."

Shinya didn't say anything as Kyo rubbed his belly until the baby kick.

"Whoa what was that?"

"That was their way of saying 'Hello.' said Shinya.

"Hello babies. I'm your daddy." said Kyo. Shinya's brows knitted together and he moved Kyo's hand away from him and looked at him.

"Kyo don't say that, you had your chance."

"That doesn't change the fact that they're still mine." he said sadly. "I'm sorry I left you but I didn't know how to handle it. Mana surprised me when he told me but with his history, I wanted to protect him. I'm sorry Shinya really I am."

"Yea well it’s too late Kyo. Die is going to be the one who signs the birth certificate."

"Can I at least come to the hospital when you have it?"

"Kyo I don't think that would--"

"Please Shinya....I wasn't able to see Kanon when she was born. She was born prematurely and had to be kept in the hospital for almost three months. She's only been home a month. The first time I saw her was when you last called me and ask to come with me. Please Shinya?" he said

"Okay Kyo you can come but you can't be in the delivery room. You'll have to wait outside the room.

"Thank you Shin." he said with a small smile

"You should get some sleep Kyo, there’s still a long drive." said Shinya. Kyo sighed and turned on his side.

"Your right. Oyasumi Shinya."

"Oyasumi." If you cared that much for us Kyo, you would come back

A/N: And the mystery man makes their appearance. Mana!!! He was the last person I could think of to be with Kyo who could challenge his attitude. Plus I really like Kyo and Mana together...I have no clue why but it's hot. Kyo and Ruki too but thats for another story....
