Summary: Shinya was thrown on the streets; force to live with is best friend. He needed help but didn’t know where to turn to for help. Luckily he didn’t have to go far to find his knight in shinnying armor but will he regret his decision and go back to the one person who manage to ruin his life in only one day?

Chapter fifteen
No latter had he said that, the sound of the machine flatlining was heard. Followed by two, then three. Finally the tears flooded Toshiya's eyes.

They all looked up and saw bloodied bodies, two small and one big. The only difference was, the small bodies were wailing at the top of their lungs, the bigger one was deadly quiet. Part of Kyo was happy his kids were alive but then there was Shinya. The surgeons quickly stitched him up while trying to resuscitate him. Soon the paddles were brought out and you could hear 'Clear!' over and over again before it got quiet.
BEEP.........BEEP...............BEEP
"HE'S ALIVE!!" shouted Kyo. They all pressed up against the glass and saw the tiniest movements in his hands. The nurses had them waiting in the waiting room while Shinya rested. They also got Toshiya to get in a bed to rest also. In his waiting room, Kyo and Kaoru stayed quiet; scared that if they talked something bad would happen. It was hours later before Kyo was able to see his babies. Since they were premature they were in a clear incubator.
"They're so small..."he whispered.
"Of course you already know they will need to be observed for the next couple of weeks. We don't know when they will he healthy enough to go home and that also goes for Mr. Terachi. He's healing nicely and should be waking up soon. Just.....don't scare him ok?" said the doctor.

Kyo sat next to Shinya's bed. It hurt him to see his lover like this. He really looked dead and if it wasn't for the monitors he would have though he was. Minutes passed and Shinya started to stir from his sleep. He looked around the first thing he saw was Kyo.
"You're finally awake. I was scared you'd never wake up." said Kyo. Shinya looked at him confused.
"Kyo what happened? Why am I here?"
"Toshiya said that both of you were attacked and you both got shot."
The memories from earlier overloaded his senses. Shinya started to panic. It was like a repeat of last time. Immediately he went for his belly and felt that there was nothing there.
"Shin don't worry! They're alive." said Kyo. He got up and made Shinya look him in the eyes. "They are fine okay? They're just under observation." Shinya seemed to calm down and he told him about what happened.
"Where's Totchi? Is he okay?" said Shinya, his voice very horse and weak. Kyo gave him a small sad smile. He'll be fine but I'll let him tell you about it.

Visiting hours were over and Kaoru and Kyo were forced to leave the hospital and go home. It was very late when Toshiya snuck out his room and to Shinya's. He carefully opened the door to see Shinya was still up.
"To--chi? What are you doing here?" Toshiya walked over to his bed and laid down beside him.
"I came to see you of course. Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine. I mean my stomach is killing me but as long as I know my babies are alive I'll be okay." Hearing about the twins made his face fall, not going unnoticed by Shinya.
"Totchi what's wrong?"
"Shin...I l--lost the baby..." he said crying. Shinya hugged his friend as best he could in his situation and tried his best to comfort him. "H-how?"
"When I was resisting him, he kicked me in my stomach." All they could do was cry and for hours that’s all they did. They cried themselves to sleep and woke up to see Kaoru and Kyo. Kaoru's eyes were still red and glassy. Shinya could tell he was up all night crying also.
"Kaoru, I'm so sorry."
"I know Shin, thank you but as long as Totchi is alive...." He wasn't able to get the rest out. He wasn't trying to think what could have happened. To both of them.

A few weeks passed and Shinya and the twins were finally released from the hospital. Toshiya was released earlier that week but was to come back twice a week for counseling. He was finally able to see and hold is children first time. As they waited for the nurses to bring out the twins Shinya felt very nervous. What if something went wrong when they got home? What if they suddenly got sick? What if they don't like him? All sorts of thoughts were going through his mind, not even Kyo's comforting touch could calm him down but when he saw his kids they all disappeared. He was going to make sure nothing would ever endanger they're lives.
"Here is the oldest." said one nurse. He looked just like Kyo just with his eyes. "And the baby brother." He looked like Kyo too but more fluffy. He too had Shinya's eyes and he was hoping they acted more like him when they got older. He held them both tightly and started crying. His babies were alive and so was he.
"So our kids have gone weeks without names...." said Kyo taking the eldest
The oldest Hiroki is and the youngest is Takeru." Shinya said smiling.
