You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Sydney Australia, not much to say other than I live with my parents... still. Will be living in the UK for 6 months next year, somewhere, most likely London area.
04. OCCUPATION
Unemployed, but not by choice... been trying to find work since December last year. Economy this year = unemployed me. Through I am technically a Graphic Designer/Desktop Publisher. Woo!
05. PARTNER?
Sadly no. Had a 'boyfriend' for about 1 month this year but it went absolutely nowhere, and depressingly that's been it. I'm getting a little annoyed at the fact that there's been no love or no smex in my life so far, and I'm getting to the stage where I just want it too happen already. I'm nearly 26 for frack's sake, I know some people are slow bloomers and all that bollocks, but hell, why hasn't it happened to me yet!! Boy or girl, I don't care (althrough I think I want the 'first' time to be with a guy) *cries to universe* Just get it over with and give me some lovin' already!!

Eventually, once both me and my partner (whomever they will be) are settled, can raise it and want it.

One sister, 18 months older, still at home with me as well.

- My friends are the biggest part of my life, because they are the only thing that saves me from going insane from boredom of having absolutely nothing going on in my life. I hang out with them as much as I can, talk to them as much as I can, so I can survive this unemployment thing... there's only so much sleeping, going on the internet, reading fic etc etc that one can do before one just goes insane.
- At the moment in my life, with no partner, no job, no career really, the only thing I've got to look forward to in the future and plan for is my epic UK trip next year. I'm going there on a working hoilday with my three close friends for 6 months (they are staying for 2 years) because with my father being English, I can enter and work in the UK with a British passport, meaning I'm not restricted by the UK Working VISA, like my friends are. I'm going there via LA, for Gallifrey 21 (Doctor Who convention) then to the UK to work, travel, visit people, attend cons, fangirl to the MAX in Cardiff, and hopefully visit New York and Florida, then come home and then think about the rest of my life.
- This is the big thing in the way of the above.
With no job, saving money for this trip is proving to be very very hard. I'm saving as much as I can from my centerlink money (which is only $450 per fortnight) the fact that I'm leaving on 25th Feb, and I haven't got my plane ticket or any spending money, I'm a little worried.
My grandparents helped out hugely by giving me $1000, and my Dad is saying he's going to be giving me some money for my birthday/christmas (amount unknown) but still, with only $2200 in my savings, my plane ticket maybe costing $2400+ and me leaving in almost 3 months, you could say me getting a job is very frackin important right now.
But I've tried and tried and tried, for nearly 12 months, not being picky AT ALL about what job I'll do, applying for EVERYTHING, and getting nothing. Very frustrating.
So the insanity and mind numbing boredom caused by unemployment which going out with friends helps with, is something I can't do as much anymore, or at all. Staying home and saving money is now my life til I leave... I think I might go stark raving mad if I don't get a job soon... not to mention be royally screwed for money as well.
FML!!!! TO THE MAX!
- Internet... ah the internet. It's a big part of my life because it's the one thing that helps me keep sane, by helping me stay in contact with friends, and for giving me the joys of fandom, slash and fanfiction to help me spend my boring days.
- Fandom. I love you fandom. All my fandoms, they make me happy and squishy. Plus the amount of friends I've made through fandom over the years, meeting people at cons, over the internet, on forums, on LJ, on podcasts, fills my life and makes me happy. My life would be quite different without it when I think about it. I wouldn't be as confident about myself as I am now... purely based on the way I interact with people now as compared to 5 years ago, where I had very little friends and frankly, didn't like myself very much. Going to 'nerdy' events, like cons and meetups has helped me become more outgoing and be able to interact better with people, even outside of fandom. People may laugh at this and call me sad, but it's really made me into a better, more confident and happier person.
10. PARENTS
Mum and Dad, married 28 years, love them lots, even through they both annoy the crap out of me sometimes, and make me rage sometimes too. I'm going to miss them like crazy when I'm overseas. My plan is also to finally move out of home (funds pending) soon after I come back from the UK.
11. WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR CLOSEST FRIENDS?
My beloveds whom are going to the UK with me, plus my group of friends I've had for 5 years now, and now most people from the Animania forums. Too many people to name, but I love them all. <3
