Wow, yesterday was my last day in East Lansing for awhile. I will go back around January 8. I am excited about Christmas Break! I really should try to make some money this holiday break, since I have about 35 bucks to my name right now, but I don't know if I will even make an effort. I feel like enjoying this break to the fullest, which for me means not working. I am proud of Chien for calling LP last night and getting his job back for the break. My summer job for the past two years has been working as a lifeguard for Kingsford Public Safety, this is an outdoor job that's only available from the first week of June through near the end of August. I don't know what jobs I would try to get for such a short period of time. Well I'm hoping for a decent job at MSU next semester, I really should work about 10 hours a week so that I can pay MSU the rest of the money I will owe them by May. Chien and I had a rough 8 hour drive back home yesterday. The first 4 hours was actually okay, but then around Blaney Park, approximately 15-20 miles east of Manistique, we hit another U.P. blizzard coming from the west. We had terrible visibility and road conditions until we pulled into Chip-In's Island resort and casino in Bark River-Harris. I threw a couple of quarters into the slots and then me and Chien both played black jack but lost our money right away, so we took off. The roads were a little better in Menominee County, and then they weren't that bad at all in Dickinson, but it did continue to snow a little. During the trek on US2, Chien had to go between 25-40 mph most of the time. I've said this before many times, but I can't believe I'm still alive!!! I've smiled right back at you once again Death. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!
