Now some proof.....
The Prop 8 supporters keep saying that they have nothing against gay people as they fight to end recognition of gay couples by the government. A recent study that demonstrates that same sex couples have a much better chance of remaining couples if they have legal recognition. And isn't longevity the of couples good for society? -- the homophobes keep screaming that.
On another note. There was a report on NPR today that mentioned Mark Foley (the congressman who resigned after he sent sexually suggestive messages to his (male) pages).... NPR discussed the case and never mentioned that the pages were male -- suggesting that it was inappropriate regardless of his sexuality!!!!!! Somehow I think that is a real victory for LGBT people. I hope there are more examples.
