Lots of Events!
well well well man i'm not doing so well updating this thing, so lets briefly explain what i've been doing the last 2 weeks.
Well school and work have not changed really, except @ work i got a raise of 25 cents because my bosses were forced to i guess, not that big of a raise, wish i could be making around 7 at least now instead of 6.25, i've been with subway 15 months now. My church celebrated our 150th Anniversary 2 weeks ago, we had a dinnerdance, an amazing church service where the bishop spoke, had a brunch, and an afternoon program with other pastors and supporters of our church that spoke, unforgettable weekend.
Then the big weekend came last weekend with carissa, but first the interesting story of getting this unknown cd in the mail friday evening before SEARCH. It was a cd i've been looking for for so long, and it randomly came in the mail, that cd is The Showdown-A Chorus of Obliteration, one of the best christian metal bands out there. Can you guess who it was from? Yep it was from Carissa :), for my b-day, i smiled so much when i figured it out, what a sneaky girl hehe. Then the SEARCH meeting with the lowest attendance came, Carissa arrived an hour later, broke into our groups with talks and agape, as always us agape people are nuts and have the time of our lives, this time we got to make the fuzzies, oh man did Rian, Dan, and myself have an experience with that :). Our theme song we also found out is Relient K- Be My Escape, amazing song, perfect for the weekend and the candidates i think. Then i took carissa home with me where we chilled for a little, sucking in the moment of finally being together again (been 2 weeks). Then we went to sleep, slept in a good amount, woke her up, had some Reeses Puffs for breakfast yumyum, we got changed and helped dad with moving some computers from the church to my car since it's trunk is so ginormous. Then carissa and i's assignment was to put together a collage of pictures from the 150th, that was fun, then we left for my baby cousin Morgan's 3rd birthday party.
Carissa got an onslaught of family, woah boy, my mom's side is nuts, but she handled it wonderfully :), got to see my babies Megan and Morgan again, love them like they are my own little sisters, in my opinion, the most adorable and hilarious little girls on this planet. I think she liked my family ;), i know they really liked her, my nanny told me "i dont think you've ever found a girl that is so scarely like you, you two click so well, i'm so glad you finally found someone who will treat you the way you deserve, and you to her", it was so nice to hear that :). Then we went home, played some Mario Kart and owned, so much fun, her on my lap just resting there racing Yoshi and Diddy Kong :). Then went to sleep again, then woke up, ate and went to church, she got to see me sing and see dad preach, think she liked this too :), then she met my 3rd grandpa Fred Taylor, chatted with him and showed her why i love this man so much. We got home, and stretched out for the CROP Walk, we had around 40 people from the community come out and fight hunger, it was quite a site! We walked then ate at Burger King, talked a lot about some deep things, and how she might be able to come college visiting with me in 2 weekends (still checkin hunny) but no matter what i'll see her for a full weekend since we'll be getting home friday. We then got home, cuddled for a while then she came to dinner @ Fuddruckers with my family and the ENTRIX people, a young adult group my dad started. Her dad came and she drove home, it was sad seeing her drive off, but all i could think about was how fantastic she is and how lucky i am to have her in my life. The next day was our 1 month, it flew and i just pray to God that there will be many, many more filled with happiness and strength.
This week i had a Pep Band meeting to meet the new director, he's a nice guy, the issue was that he wanted us to march for Thanksgiving, which took the numbers of the Pep Band down drastically. He took that statement back and it's gametime tomorrow home against Northern Highlands, with me leading it again, he's going to come and see how we do, wish me and us luck everyone!
