Neil Gaiman Must Have My Babies
Just got back from seeing Beowulf.
Holy.
Fucking.
Shit.
And I didn't even see it in 3D. Wow. Just WOW. Awesome movie. On all levels.
Warning to parents, though--it's rated PG13 but it is WAY intense. Maybe moreso even than the LotR movies. Lots of violence, gore (though often this is framed so you can't really see it), and Grendel is scarier than hell. Several squicky moments and lots of sexual innuendo. I think if it hadn't technically been a cartoon it might have gotten an R for the blood. Oh, and lots of nudity. And Beowulf? OMG HOT!! Yeah, I know he's CGI. Shut up.
All this just goes to prove that I have a long way to go if I want to be Neil when I grow up.
Oh and I guess I should give Roger Avery some credit, too.
