The Death of the Ten Club
I should really stop poking around on my new laptop. The wireless internet didn't work until a few minutes ago, after I messed with it and killed the connectivity two weeks ago. 8^/
Anywho, I am a bit overdue for a public entry by nearly a month. To quell any suspicions, I am in fact alive and breathing at the moment. I've been incredibly busy working at good ol' Jet Door. The past two weeks I worked 104 hours, or 52 hours/week. The pay actually made it worth it, but I haven't exactly recovered completely. This week I've been getting off slightly earlier, but I usually stay at least an hour extra. Bleh 8^P
My neck and back are hurting after sleeping funny and then lifting heavy things all day. All I want to do is lie down but there is so much to do.
I finally finished Harry Potter after reading a few chapters at a time. It was really good, but very sad. Next on my reading list is "Guns, Germs, and Steel", a literary analysis of geography's influence on the development of the many cultures of the world with lots of historical base provided. The first several chapters set the tone of the book as being a very dry read, but I am determined to finish it.
Yesterday I stopped by Dyson's house after work and hung out there for a while. Hopefully I motivated him to finish his math sometime between talking about everything from concerts to World of Warcraft. When I got home I took a shower and started writing an email to my new roomie. Unfortunately my laptop slid off the couch when I got up to break up a fight between the cats and my USB key got very torqued. To the point where its power no longer works. That made me pretty depressed for the rest of the night; so many things were on there that I never thought to backup. My mom and I made our own pizza with some dough from Trader Joe's. It was really really good. In fact, we ate all but one piece between the two of us 8^D Then we did the crossword puzzle and the dishes. After all that we both sat down on the sofas and fell asleep. Mom woke up around 12:45 and we both crawled into bed. That did not make getting up this morning very easy. 8^/
