"Catch that CAPER!!"
Since I have to be awake and function at such an unGodly hour (thanks early morning practices), I decided to make a RANDOM post!! Thank goodness for my Sidekick, or else I'd probably be in a corner sleeping somewhere.
• In reference to the subject of my post, Amanda and I have decided to build our vocabularies by having a "word of the day." We chose the word caper (which is an illegal act; robbery) after we heard it in some boo-boo rap song. We've been using the word every chance we get.
• I'm extremely happy that I got paid today, but my only concern is why is it gradually DECRESING? Usually the longer you work at one place the more money you make, right? Well, iit obviously doesn't work that with with Auburn University Women's Basketball. And just to put things in prospective, I get paid once a month and that amount isn't even half of what I pay for rent. If I didn't have parents who loved me, I'd be screwed!!
• My 21st birthday is in 14 days (on the 30th). I'm not really excited about it because thanks to the basketball gods, we'll be at a tournament in ARIZONA. Pretty depressing, right? But it kinda takes the pressure off of me trying to plan and organize some sort of get together with all of my friends.
I think I'm more excited for my friend's birthdays. Julian's is on the 29th and Mario's is on the 23rd. I think I enjoy other people's birthdays more than my own. I think its 'cause I give the best gifts (in a creative and more thoughtful since) and its fun to see their reactions.
• Speaking of the basketball ruining my life, guess where I'll be spending Thanksgiving break?? At home with my family?? Negative!! We'll be in OHIO!! Oh joy!! And because of this, we'll also be missing the football game of the year...Iron Bowl, Auburn vs. Alabama. You're probably thinking, "It's just a football game, no big deal, right?" WRONG!! This game is huge...people are selling their student tickets for up to $400, just for this game!! And of course with big games there are big parties...all of which I will miss.
• Because I have to stay here for the break (along with most of the other student athletes), I've arranged a "pizza and a movie" night with my friend, James (for all of you visual people, he's in the entry below, in the "Halloween eye candy" section in the blue shirt and hat). It's kind of weird because him and Amanda used to talk back in the day (freshman year), but it didn't really go anywhere because she wasn't really into him. But recently she's been talking about him, so I don't know. But whatever!!
• While we're on the subject of guys, Amanda and her "friend" (same guy she's been seeing for 7.5 months who has a girlfriend) have decided to just be friends. This decision was brought on by him AFTER his girlfriend went through his phone and say his text messages. But she still doesn't know it's Amanda though, so there won't be any girlfights any time soon.
Here's another funny story involving stupid boys. One of my associates dates a guy on the basketball team. She goes to school 3hrs away but she's down here ALL the time (like 2 or 3 times a week). Now they're supposed all in love (they're "married" on facebook, have a ton of pictures together, and they got each other's names tattooed on them...CRAZY, right). Well, she was looking on his Myspace and saw that some girl kept writing on his "wall" (I'm a facebook kinda girl, so I don't know what the equivalent is for Myspace), so she sent this girl a message letting her know that he has a girflriend and she needs to back off. The girl replies back and apologized and said she didn't know because he told her (pay close attention HERE) that the girl in those pictures was his bestfriend who DIED recently and he got the tatto in memory of her.
Are you freakin' kidding me?? Your BOYFRIEND tells some other chick that you WERE his bestfriend and you DIED...but yet, you still drive your sorry behind down here a couple days later to come to his basketball game?? I don't whether to call that "crazy in love" like Beyonce or just plain old stupidity.
• I know its a little early, but what do you guys want for Christmas? I've got a couple things in mind, but I'm not sure yet. I know I want a new digital camera...my sister dropped mine and it's acting stupid now (this will be the 2nd one that she's dropped and messed up...but I still love her). Ironically, that's the only thing I can think of at the moment, besides a trampoline, but I've asking for that for years. I think my parents think I'm just kidding, but I am sooo serious. I've always wanted to have a big trampoline in my backyard.
Ummmm...I don't have anything else to write about and practice is almost over, thank goodness. Sorry for any typos or confusing parts, but its too early and I'm too lazy to go back and proofread. I'll be back soon with a real entry and new pictures. Until then I'm gone like yesterday!!
