they're not all sluts. they're not all bitches. yes, some of them are. but not all. i dont see why we have to label them all on the actions of a few of them. i feel if you're going to label pommers, and talk shit about them, then do it about the goths, cheeleaders, insanely smart kids, special ed kids, athletes, preps, band kids...everyone. hell, we might as well bring up race issues too while we're at it.
they're proud of what they do. and it payed off. they're state champions. hell, i acted like i was shit, just cuz i qualified for regionals in track. i came in 2nd(prolly would have been 3/4 at states), but i acted like i was number fucking one. at least they win state championships and shit. and they do it EVERY SINGLE year. not too many teams at heritage can say they do that.
they work hard, and practice pretty much every day. its a lot more than flipping your skirt on your ass. its actually kinda hard. yeah, the performance today was a bit "risque" and over the top. but that doesnt mean we should critisize them. i thought that was a lot better than sitting in class and taking a fuckin test.
being on poms actually does help tho. you're a lot more in shape and flexible than the average person. it also proves that you have great rythem and cordination. looking at a lot of professional cheerleaders, they pretty much do the same shit poms does. except they throw in a flip or two and some yelps. hell, they even dress kinda skanky, so what the pommers where isnt really that bad.
at the same time, i think they're overrated in a sense that boys will date a girl just cuz she's on poms. and the fact that everyone looks down on cheerleaders because of poms.
