I think my post-con high is starting to fade, which means I don't want to do anything but sleep. A lot. This wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't *really* have to finish two papers or else I don't graduate.
I watched the first episode of the new Fullmetal Alchemist series and... well, I really don't know what to make of it yet. We've been promised something that follows the manga, which is great and all, but imo the original anime followed the manga pretty well for the first half. So does this mean we're going to sit through twenty episodes or so of stuff that's not all that different aside from maybe some ominous foreshadowing? Like, I'm just as excited as the next fan about seeing all awesome manga stuff finally animated. But I'm not sure how they can appeal to both people who have and haven't seen the first anime, and they appeal to both people who have and haven't read the manga.
I think I'm just going to remain skeptical for a while, then maybe be pleasantly surprised, instead of getting my hopes too high.
