Life's been going fairly well, lately.
Friday I woke up and didn't have anything planned for the day (woah, right?)and thusly invited Jessie over after she was done all her portfolio things.
We hung out, I made lunch, and we went to the fabric store and spent money we didn't really have on fabric that we wanted.
Jessie made/is making a "puke skirt" from her fabrics. The definition being a skirt that is so patterny and colourful it makes you want to vomit. I'm excited to see it.
I ran around the store and bought fabric that I liked the colour/pattern/feel of, and that was on sale. From this sampling of fabrics I will make plushies. Lots of plushies. It will be fun, for sure, profitable for maybe.
We then watched Josie and the Pussycats (singing along and playing the "find the product placement in this shot" game (which could be modded into a highly successful drinking game)) and ate my parents food.
Katie called and hinted that she'd like us to come over, so we did. Taking with us Cameron and enjoying how nice it was out.
Chilled at La Place (the placeholder name for Katie/Jessie's residence until someone thinks of something that doesn't suck) and were joined by Melissa, Scott and Scott. Arrested Development was watched.
Saturday I bussed home from La Place and basically puttered around the house.
I'd also called Vector, one of those places that does mass interview whatever at schools.
Mistake.
They assure you it isn't door-to-door work at least twice. But it totally is, it's just informed door-to-door because you're supposed to get referrals and make appointments. I lost 1.5hours there, not including travel to and from.
Met Kim (rather late) to go to Masquerade.
I don't know what I was expecting, to be honest, but it wasn't what I got. Unaided by the fact that I was already in a grumbly and foul mood from the Vector thing.
However, I'd paid to go to this and my friends were there so I stayed.
Which I felt glad for having done, it did become fun and I ended up having a pretty good time. I like to dance, there's just no way around that.
I also won a 10$ gift certificate from the Comic Book Shoppe for "Best Costume". The costume I will wash with fervor, because we were all soaked by the end of it. Just the sheer amount of dancing and people in a smaller space.
Left around 11:00, but someone had gotten shot so we couldn't take the 12.
This resulted in waiting a little over an hour for the last 9 to take us to Hurdman to catch a 95.
We met a pair of coherently drunken fellows (Chris and Julien, if I recall properly) who were intrigued by our dress and we chatted with them until the bus came. Chris liked the corset I was wearing and told me I looked like Chloe(?) from Smallville. I've never watched that show and so have no idea if he is at all correct.
Blessings of blessings, caught the last 118 Kanata home.
Today I cleaned my room (which was a massive mess from my crafting adventures of the week) and did some of my Gen. Ed. Here's hoping I have the motivation to finish it before it's all due at 8am tomorrow morning.

I got a new LJ, by the by.
Username: becjasketch - so chosen because it has the word "sketch" in it, a nickname of mine and if you say it out loud it sounds kind of like "Etch-A-Sketch" which appeals to me.
I haven't put anything up there. I'll make a more offical-like post here about that when I do and go through the process of re-adding everyone I like following off my current flist and hope they do the same.
