2006
You know, I don't think I've ever posted a public year in review entry. I've only ever done a couple of them, and they were so embarrasingly sappy that it's just as well that they were private.
An eventful year, with many ups and downs, as years often are.
On the upsides of this year:
-I worked as an RA for CTY, and made many new friends, both among the staff and students.
-Similarly, I recconnected with many old CTY friends
-I've probably learned more math in the last year than in all of high school, although I'm not sure how much of it I can keep straight.
-PhD program, that if I'm still in it by this time next year, means I'm probably going to be in it for the long haul.
Downsides:
-Ruined my nice Corolla in an accident in June, although I took no serious damage.
-Become very busy with school, in addition to moving off campus, makes it difficult to see friends.
Resolutions for 2007:
-Get on finding research, so that I can still be in my program.
-Figure out where/how to afford traveling.
-Figure out how to spend more social time on campus.
