a 2 part interview...

Apr 11, 2007 15:33

The interview meme is making the rounds again. The rules are as follows:
  1. Leave me a comment.
  2. I respond by asking you five questions. You will answer them, because you like talking about yourself.
  3. You then update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
  4. Include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
  5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

From Sara-
1. What is your eventual, ultimate master plan once you've finished traveling the world doing the requirements for your veterinary degree? (In an ideal world.) Well, lets see. In an ideal world, I'd get to be an orthopedic surgeon/sports medicine practitioner (who's done their internship, residencies, and maybe even fellowships all around the world ESPECIALLY AUSTRALIA!!) on both horses and small animals, heck even other large animals if presented with the opportunity, along with playing anesthetist on the side, and of course doing some amount of shelter medicine. And as my little giving back to the community bit I'd do Rural Area Veterinary Services trips once or twice a year, maybe to South America or something.
2. If you could go back in time and change one thing about your life up to this point, what would it be and why? I have no idea- maybe instead of spending a year and a half at George Mason, I'd have tried to go straight into pre-vet somewhere. But, I can't even say that for sure because I really enjoyed a good chunk of my time there too!
3. If you woke up tomorrow and realized that you had no interest whatsoever in becoming a vet, what would you do instead? I'd probably go to medical school and try to become a surgeon
4. If you could pick one character from a TV series that you could have played, who would it be? no idea, sorry
5. How many licks DOES it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop? Three!!!!!
From Jon
1. Do you have any idea where you'll be moving to when you're done with school on St. Kitts? If all goes well, I hope to go to Purdue in Indiana, or to Missouri. Then, who knows! There has been talk of maybe going to California or somewhere else on the west coast, or maybe even to the south, but definitely somewhere new and different!
2. Do you think you'll ever consider moving back to St. Kitts to work after school/residency is over? I'm already considering it;).
runexewouldn't mind retiring here, or some other caribbean island. But we really do love it here so we're at least visiting, possibly working.
3. Did you and runexe ever find a way back to the Volcano hike?  LOL- no, not yet. Doug started a hiking club but I only got to go on one hike (the Peter Manning Trail behind Carabelle Batik), the rest fell on bad weekends for me. But, since I'll be here most of break we're going to do the volcano hike, Do's Dane Pond, and Olivee's (i think?).
4. How do you think
runexewill handle coming back to the states and not getting to be a house husband on a tropical island anymore? ;) heh, i think he'll enjoy having a real job, and will really enjoy having seasons other than dry hot and humid hot.
5. I don't suppose you're going to be around for J-Ouvert and Carnival at the end of this year will you? I kinda want to come back for that :) We can certainly play that by ear! Especially if you're willing to help us move. It all pretty much depends on when I have to start clinical rotations wherever I go, and how badly I'd dissappoint my family for not being home for the holidays. But, if we're here, you're welcome to visit!
