My question to you- is this plausible?
A rather large group of environmental radicals (with plenty of capital and influence) gets fed up with the human race- they create a way to deliver a virus in mass to populated areas without detection/ people knowing only that it was a bunch of US citizens that did it(method yet un-determined) of different countries with nuclear capacity. These other countries believe it is a government sanctioned attack upon them by the US and essentially very short WWIII breaks out with nukes. Between the virus and the bombs only about 1/10 people world wide are alive( the virus took out pretty much all 2-3-4th world countries and the bombs most of the 1st world).
My issue is I want my characters to be able to wander around post apocalyptic US and not die (at once) from radiation and the virus. I am in research mode. I've already posted over at little_details and want to narrow my idea down more before going there again, so I've come to you.
